DESCRIPTION
Do you enjoy working with AI agents, solving complex problems, and sharing technical insights with fellow developers? Are you excited to explore and educate other developers about using AI agents to transform how software is designed, implemented, and deployed? If so, then this might be your dream job.
We are seeking an experienced Head of Developer Education for Kiro to define, build, and scale Kiro’s developer experience and enablement. You will craft a comprehensive education strategy that helps developers — from first-time explorers to advanced users — understand, adopt, and master how they can use Kiro to build new applications, for troubleshooting, and to refactor and improve existing ones.
This role sits at the intersection of content strategy, developer experience, curriculum design, and developer feedback loops. You will partner with Product, Engineering, Support, and Marketing to ensure education directly improves activation, retention, and meaningful usage of Kiro while helping more developers understand and embrace agentic software development.
Please note, we place significant value on candidates who have built a meaningful public presence in the developer community. While not a strict requirement, an existing audience and demonstrated ability to create content that attracts and engages technical communities at scale will be very beneficial.
Key job responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Curriculum Design
- Define and continually refine Kiro’s developer education strategy and long-term roadmap.
- Build compelling, structured learning paths and own the developer learning experience as a strategic lever for product growth and trust.
Technical Education Content
- Produce high-impact education artifacts: tutorials, walkthroughs, how-to guides, best-practice playbooks, code samples, interactive labs, long and short videos — basically whatever it takes.
- Translate complex agentic AI concepts into clear, actionable lessons that developers can apply immediately.
- Partner with engineering to keep educational content aligned with product changes and releases.
Feedback Loop & Product Insight
- Systematically gather developer feedback on learning pain points, confusing workflows, and patterns of failure.
- Communicate insights back to Product and Engineering to reduce friction and improve the overall product experience.
- Use telemetry and qualitative user signals to measure and improve education impact.
Developer Community & Programs
- Lead programs that integrate education into community touchpoints — office hours, workshops, webinars, events, and interactive sessions.
- Enable internal and external educators to represent Kiro’s best practices and workflows.
What Success Looks Like (Key Outcomes)
- Measurable increase in developer activation and meaningful product usage tied to education paths.
- Published education content that becomes canonical learning resources for Kiro users.
- Tighter developer feedback loops that inform product quality and documentation improvements.
About the team
Agentic AI drives innovation at the forefront of artificial intelligence, enabling customers to transform their businesses through cutting-edge AI solutions. We build and deliver the foundational AI services that power the future of cloud computing, helping organizations harness the potential of AI to solve their most complex challenges. Join our dynamic team of AI/ML practitioners, applied scientists, software engineers, and solution architects who work backwards from customer needs to create groundbreaking technologies. If you're passionate about shaping the future of AI while making a meaningful impact for customers worldwide, we want to hear from you.
The Kiro team is building the future of software development.
We believe coding is quickly evolving to spec-driven, agent-powered collaboration where developers orchestrate intelligent systems that design, implement, test, secure, and operate software alongside them. Kiro is our next-generation agentic development system: a suite of AI agents and experiences that work across IDE, CLI, Web, and other environments to function as true engineering teammates.
We are inventing new interaction models for developers—multi-agent workflows, persistent team learnings, long-running autonomous tasks, and deeply integrated cloud skills. This is not an incremental evolution of code completion. This is a re-definition of how software gets built. Come join us on this mission!
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Proven success creating structured learning paths and educational content that measurably improve user outcomes.
- Comfortable working cross-functionally with product, engineering, support, and community teams.
- Experience with AI-assisted or intelligent developer tools, and familiarity with how developers adopt new paradigms.

Senior Technical Training Developer Jobs in New York: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a senior technical training developer in New York?
A bachelor's degree in instructional design, education technology, or a technical field is the standard foundation for this role in New York. Most employers expect candidates to have worked progressively through junior and mid-level instructional design or training coordinator positions before reaching senior status. New York's financial services and healthcare sectors place particular weight on industry-specific curriculum experience, so building a portfolio that demonstrates complex technical subject matter is a strong differentiator.
Which companies hire senior technical training developers in New York?
New York senior technical training developer roles are posted by Capgemini, Citi, and Metropolitan Transportation Authority and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. New York City's density of financial institutions, media companies, and major hospital networks means hiring activity tends to remain consistent even outside peak recruiting periods.
Which New York cities have the most senior technical training developer jobs?
New York, Buffalo, and Albany have the most senior technical training developer openings in New York. New York City dominates because of its concentration of financial services headquarters, large hospital systems, and global media companies that all maintain in-house learning and development teams, while Albany and Buffalo generate openings through state government agencies, insurance carriers, and regional healthcare networks.
Are there remote senior technical training developer jobs in New York?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 32% of senior technical training developer openings tied to New York are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting how much of the work involves content authoring, LMS administration, and virtual facilitation rather than in-person delivery. The most fully remote opportunities tend to be in e-learning development and curriculum design roles where live classroom instruction is not required.
How can I get hired as a senior technical training developer in New York with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving into a training coordinator or junior instructional designer role within a large New York employer and building a portfolio from there. Major New York hospital systems and financial institutions frequently hire training associates or learning coordinators who work alongside senior developers. A strong portfolio of sample e-learning modules or curriculum outlines built with tools like Articulate Storyline can offset limited formal experience when applying to these entry-level positions.
Where can I find and apply to senior technical training developer jobs in New York?
You can find and apply to senior technical training developer jobs in New York on Migrate Mate, which lists current New York openings updated regularly. Search the listings to find roles that match your background, specialization, and preferred location within the state, then apply directly to the positions that fit your experience.
