Strategic Partnerships Manager Jobs in New York: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a strategic partnerships manager in New York?
The role carries no state-issued license or New York-specific registration, so the path runs through education and demonstrated experience. Most New York employers expect a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field, with an MBA viewed favorably for senior roles at large enterprises. Candidates typically progress from sales, account management, or business development positions, and those who build expertise in a dominant New York vertical, such as fintech, media, or enterprise software, move faster into dedicated partnerships roles.
Which companies hire strategic partnerships managers in New York?
Employers hiring strategic partnerships managers in New York right now include DoorDash, Amazon, and Alvarez & Marsal, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. New York's concentration of technology firms, global financial institutions, and major media companies means opportunities appear consistently across a wide range of industries rather than being confined to a single sector.
Which New York cities have the most strategic partnerships manager jobs?
New York, New York City, and Harrison account for the largest share of strategic partnerships manager openings in New York. New York City dominates because it is the headquarters hub for finance, media, advertising, and enterprise technology companies that rely heavily on partnership functions, while smaller markets such as White Plains and Buffalo reflect the regional offices and healthcare system campuses that also maintain active partnerships teams.
Are there remote strategic partnerships manager jobs in New York?
Yes, and more than most fields, because the role is fundamentally relationship-based and does not require physical presence at a production facility or patient bedside. About 34% of strategic partnerships manager openings tied to New York are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, reflecting how broadly distributed partner ecosystems have become. The functions most likely to remain remote are channel program management, partner enablement, and alliance strategy, while roles requiring frequent executive briefings in New York City tend to require at least a hybrid schedule.
How can I get hired as a strategic partnerships manager in New York with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is through a business development representative or account management role at a New York technology or financial services company, where you build the relationship and negotiation skills employers expect before promoting into a dedicated partnerships function. Large New York-based firms including media conglomerates and enterprise software companies regularly hire associate-level business development staff who rotate into partnerships within a few years. A strong portfolio demonstrating a negotiated agreement or co-marketing initiative, even from an internship or a university project, and fluency with Salesforce give early-career candidates a measurable edge in the New York market.
Where can I find and apply to strategic partnerships manager jobs in New York?
You can find and apply to strategic partnerships manager jobs in New York on Migrate Mate, which lists current New York openings updated regularly. Search the listings, identify roles that match your background and target industry, and apply directly to the ones that fit.
