As part of our team, you’ll join a mission-driven organization committed to food safety, innovation, and people development. If you’re ready to lead, inspire, and make a measurable difference, this role is for you.
About the Role: Sanitation Site Manager
As a Sanitation Site Manager, you’ll lead daily operations at one of our client’s food
production sites — ensuring equipment is cleaned, sanitized, and safe for use by the
next shift. You’ll manage a team of sanitation professionals, uphold safety and food
safety standards, and partner closely with both your Area Manager and the client’s on-

This role is hands-on, fast-paced, and purpose-driven — perfect for someone who thrives
in operations, leads with integrity, and loves building high-performing teams.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and Develop a Team: Train, coach, and support sanitation techs to follow safety protocols and sanitation SOPs while delivering quality work on time.
- Oversee Daily Sanitation Operations: Manage disassembly, cleaning, sanitizing, reassembly, and chemical usage per USDA/FDA standards and site-specific SSOPs.
- Deliver Results: Meet site-level KPIs and labor targets while maintaining high food safety and safety standards.
- Own Compliance: Ensure audit readiness at all times, maintain accurate documentation, and support third-party and regulatory inspections.
- Collaborate with Key Stakeholders:
Customer: Build trust with plant leadership by proactively communicating performance and aligning sanitation goals with production targets.
Engineering & Quality: Coordinate cleaning access and work through recurring issues with sanitation effectiveness, allergens, or hygienic design.
HR & Finance: Partner on hiring, training, and budgeting to ensure a productive, motivated, and right-sized team.
- Drive Continuous Improvement: Identify process gaps, implement efficiencies, and help elevate sanitation practices across the site.
What You Bring
- Experience: 5+ years in a leadership role within a food processing sanitation environment.
- Sanitation Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of GMPs, SSOPs, ATP/Pre-Op Inspections, allergen control, and USDA/FDA requirements.
- Safety Leadership: Familiarity with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Hazard Communication (HAZCOMM), PPE, and chemical safety.
- Bilingual Fluency: English and Spanish preferred
- Tech Fluency: Able to use digital tools (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace) for scheduling, documentation, and reporting.
Bonus if you’ve led corrective action planning, audit support, or labor cost management
at the site level.
Key Competencies for Success
- Operational Excellence: You can run a tight ship while keeping your team engaged and safe.
- Accountability: You own outcomes and hold others to the same high standards.
- People Leadership: You coach, motivate, and develop frontline teams with empathy and clarity.
- Problem-Solving: You make sound decisions quickly, even under pressure or when faced with complexity.
- Customer Focus: You build lasting partnerships with clients by delivering on your word and driving results.
What We Value
Partnership: You build trust by being transparent, dependable, and collaborative.
Excellence: You hold the bar high and help others reach it too.
Integrity: You do what’s right — even when it’s hard or inconvenient.

Site Manager Jobs in Mississippi: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a site manager in Mississippi?
Most site managers in Mississippi start with a degree in construction management, civil engineering, or architecture, then move into field roles to build hands-on experience. Mississippi does not require a state license specifically for site managers, but many employers expect candidates to hold an OSHA certification and, for commercial or public projects, a general contractor license issued through the Mississippi State Board of Contractors. Advancing from a field supervisor or project coordinator role is the most common path.
Which companies hire site managers in Mississippi?
Employers hiring site managers in Mississippi right now include Whistle Express Car Wash, Amazon, and Vision Quest Solutions, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Mississippi's shipbuilding, energy, and commercial construction industries generate consistent demand, keeping a broad mix of both large corporations and regional contractors actively recruiting.
Which Mississippi cities have the most site manager jobs?
Jackson, Columbus, and Lucedale have the most site manager openings in Mississippi. Jackson leads as the state capital and largest commercial hub, while Gulfport and Pascagoula are driven by Gulf Coast shipbuilding, port infrastructure, and energy projects that require continuous on-site management at major industrial facilities.
Are there remote site manager jobs in Mississippi?
Yes, but they're rare. Site management is inherently on-site work, so fully remote roles are uncommon in this field. About 0% of site manager openings tied to Mississippi are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, and those positions typically involve planning, scheduling, or reporting functions rather than active day-to-day site supervision.
How can I get hired as a site manager in Mississippi with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is starting as a project coordinator, construction assistant, or field inspector, then building toward a site manager role. Large Mississippi employers like Ingalls Shipbuilding and Entergy Mississippi hire for structured rotational and apprenticeship programs that move candidates into management tracks. Earning an OSHA certification and enrolling in a construction management program through Mississippi State University or a community college strengthens your profile considerably when competing for first supervisory roles.
Where can I find and apply to site manager jobs in Mississippi?
You can find and apply to site manager jobs in Mississippi on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings across the state. Search the listings, find roles that match your experience and the location you want, and apply directly to the ones that fit.
