Site Supervisor Jobs in Massachusetts: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a site supervisor in Massachusetts?
Most site supervisor roles in Massachusetts require an active Construction Supervisor License issued by the Board of Building Regulations and Standards, which is obtained by passing a state exam and documenting field experience. Candidates typically hold an associate or bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field, or substitute a longer apprenticeship record. Starting as a foreman or assistant superintendent at a Massachusetts general contractor is the most common path to a supervisory role.
Which companies hire site supervisors in Massachusetts?
Employers hiring site supervisors in Massachusetts right now include Kellermeyer Bergensons Services, Securitas, and Natick Public Schools, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Massachusetts's active commercial development pipeline and ongoing utility infrastructure upgrades keep demand from large general contractors and energy companies consistently strong.
Which Massachusetts cities have the most site supervisor jobs?
Boston, Natick, and Milton have the highest concentration of site supervisor openings in Massachusetts. Greater Boston dominates because of its dense commercial construction and institutional development activity, while Worcester and Springfield draw demand from regional infrastructure projects and manufacturing facility work anchored by large industrial and utility employers operating across central and western Massachusetts.
Are there remote site supervisor jobs in Massachusetts?
Yes, but they're rare. Site supervisors are by nature an on-site role, responsible for daily field oversight, crew coordination, and safety compliance that cannot be performed remotely. About 0% of site supervisor openings tied to Massachusetts are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, and those postings typically cover pre-construction planning, estimating support, or project coordination functions rather than active field supervision.
How can I get hired as a site supervisor in Massachusetts with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is a union apprenticeship through the Massachusetts building trades, where programs run by organizations like the New England Regional Council of Carpenters place apprentices with member contractors from day one. Working as a laborer, trades helper, or assistant foreman at a mid-size Massachusetts general contractor builds the field hours required for the state Construction Supervisor License exam. Earning an OSHA 30 certificate and an associate degree in construction management noticeably strengthens a first-time candidate's application.
Where can I find and apply to site supervisor jobs in Massachusetts?
You can find and apply to site supervisor jobs in Massachusetts on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings from employers actively hiring in the state. Find roles that match your experience and location, then apply directly to the employers posting them.
