The Opportunity
We’re looking for a creative, video-first Social Media Manager who wants more than a job managing a content calendar. We want someone who sees a boring social post and immediately thinks, “There’s a much better way to do this.” You’ll own the day-to-day organic social presence across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, and Reddit, with opportunities to explore new channels like TikTok. More importantly, you’ll have a lot of freedom to shape what our social presence becomes. Have an idea for a new series, campaign, video, game, quiz, podcast, or something we haven’t thought of yet? Bring it to the table. We’re big believers in experimenting, learning quickly, and trying again — whether that means failing fast or finding something that works and doing more of it. You’ll have access to the people, customers, products, and stories across our organization to create content that people want to watch, engage with, and share.
And there’s no shortage of stories to tell. Construction is one of the largest industries in the world, and ConstructConnect is the technology helping bring some of the coolest buildings and projects to life — from sports stadiums and hospitals to high-rise buildings and major commercial developments. We’re at the start of every major project, and there’s a huge opportunity to make the industry feel as interesting online as it is in the real world. You’ll work closely with teams across Marketing, Sales, Product, Internal Communications, and more to build a pipeline of engaging content while helping grow brand awareness, engagement, share of voice, and ultimately demand for the business. This is a role for someone who wants real creative autonomy and the opportunity to make high-level decisions, build new programs from the ground up, and create work that can become a meaningful part of their portfolio.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead and implement strategies for ConstructConnect’s organic social media presence.
- Become an expert on the preconstruction lifecycle and our business’s products, segments, and customer personas.
- Actively expand and drive new and innovative content across our applicable social media verticals such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube, and TikTok.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive content strategy that aligns with the company's brand voice, values, and marketing goals.
- Create and maintain the social media calendar across all platforms and ensure thorough and timely content posting for all marketing campaigns, sponsorships, promotions, and events.
- Manage and oversee all social media accounts, ensuring consistent branding and messaging across platforms.
- Foster positive online conversations by engaging with the audience in a timely and professional manner.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and use data-driven insights to optimize social media performance and achieve business objectives.
- Act as the go-to social media expert internally and externally to suggest the best ways to maximize impact and strengthen reputation.
- Work to build relationships and collaborations with social media influencers and our brand partners.
- Work with our executive team to build their social media profiles to help strengthen their personal brands.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing teams, creative teams, and other relevant departments, to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
- Possesses deep understanding of social platforms and algorithms that affect day-to-day publishing and content strategy.
- This job description in no way implies that the duties listed here are the only ones that team members can be required to perform.
What You'll Be Doing
Own Social: Run the day-to-day organic social presence across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, X, and Reddit, working closely with the Director, Brand & Digital Marketing to bring the broader strategy to life.
Make Video the Norm: Help us move beyond static content and make video a bigger part of how we show up. Create and capture short-form content for Reels, Shorts, TikToks, and whatever new formats make sense.
Build Our Audience: Grow our social audiences and, more importantly, give people a reason to stick around, engage, share, and come back.
Create Something New: Build content programs from the ground up — from podcasts and customer stories to behind-the-scenes content, games, quizzes, polls, trends, and whatever great ideas you bring to the table.
Experiment: Test new ideas, formats, channels, and campaigns. Some will work. Some won't. That's okay. We want someone who is excited to try things, learn quickly, and double down when something hits.
Build Our Influencer Program: Identify and manage the right creators and industry voices for ConstructConnect, from finding partners to launching campaigns and measuring what worked.
Keep Social Connected: Work across Marketing, Sales, Product, Internal Communications, and our agency partners to find great stories and make sure social is part of the bigger picture — including paid campaigns and demand generation.
Own the Content Calendar: Keep our social presence active, timely, and organized while making sure we're showing up for the moments that matter — from campaigns and product launches to events and industry conversations.
Be Part of the Creative Process: Take strategy and turn it into content people actually want to consume. Bring your own ideas, challenge the status quo, and don't be afraid to say, “What if we tried this?”
Build the Community: Be an active voice for ConstructConnect online. Engage with our audience, join relevant conversations, and help make our social channels feel like a community rather than a corporate bulletin board.
Know What's Working: Keep an eye on the numbers — audience growth, engagement, reach, share of voice, and ultimately demand and opportunities. Use what you learn to make the next idea even better.
