About The Team
The Outside Account Management team at DoorDash partners with restaurant merchants to help them grow simply and profitable on the platform. Our mission is to support merchants throughout their journey – ensuring a positive experience while also helping them unlock meaningful growth opportunities. We work closely with merchants to understand their goals, solve operational challenges, and recommend growth strategies that fit their business – balancing thoughtful partnership with commercial impact.

- Partner cross-functionally with Product, Operations, and Sales to advocate for merchant needs and deliver a best-in-class platform experience
- Influence and navigate senior and C-suite stakeholders through compelling, data-driven storytelling and strong objection handling
We’re Excited About You Because…
- You have 5+ years of experience in account management, post-sales, customer success, or a related client-facing role
- You empathize with customer needs and adapt to meet their unique goals resulting in an increase in customer satisfaction, retention, and product adoption
- You are a thoughtful, merchant first thinker who creates data-driven recommendations and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs)
- You maintain a strong bias for action and an ability to operate as an owner for your book of business
- You use AI as a core part of your account management workflow by prioritizing opportunities, personalizing recommendations, improving efficiency, and validating insights with sound judgment and business context.
- You have knowledge of Google Suite, including Google Slides (creating client-facing decks) and Google Sheets (can maintain complex spreadsheets)
- You navigate sales and AI tools with ease (Salesforce, Outreach, Sales Navigator, Google Apps)

Tips for Your Strategic Partner Manager Job Search
Quantify partnership pipeline on your resume
Hiring managers for strategic partner manager roles expect to see revenue influenced, partners onboarded, or co-sell pipeline generated. Replace vague claims with specific outcomes tied to partner programs you owned or co-managed from end to end.
Apply early to roles that fit
Migrate Mate lists strategic partner manager openings from across the United States in one place, so you can find roles that match and apply directly to each listing.
Tailor your resume to the partner motion
Channel, alliances, and ecosystem roles have different day-to-day realities. Read each job description for whether the company runs a reseller, referral, or co-sell model, then mirror that language and those workflows explicitly in your experience section.
Target companies mid-partnership program build
The highest-impact strategic partner manager openings are often at companies launching or restructuring a partner program. Look for roles at firms that recently raised a Series B or C, or that just hired a VP of Partnerships, since those teams need builders, not maintainers.
Prepare a partner enablement case study for interviews
Interviewers routinely ask how you enable partners to sell or refer your product. Walk into your interview with one concrete example of partner onboarding, training, or co-marketing you led, including what the partner needed and what changed after your involvement.
Negotiate on role scope, not just base pay
Strategic partner manager compensation often includes a variable component tied to partner-sourced pipeline or revenue. Before accepting an offer, clarify how attainment is measured, whether quota is individual or shared with an account executive, and how frequently targets are reset.
Strategic Partner Manager Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
Which companies are hiring the most strategic partner managers?
The companies hiring the most strategic partner managers right now include Google, Notion, and TikTok, with the largest share of openings in California, New York, and Texas, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Technology companies scaling channel or ecosystem programs account for a large portion of active openings.
How many strategic partner manager jobs are remote?
About 38% of strategic partner manager openings are fully remote or hybrid as of June 2026, reflecting the relationship-driven but largely digital nature of the role. Alliance and ecosystem-focused positions tend to offer the most location flexibility, while channel roles supporting field sales teams are more likely to require proximity to a regional office or partner base.
How do you become a strategic partner manager?
Start by building experience in a customer-facing role such as account management, sales, or business development, where you learn how to manage external relationships and influence revenue indirectly. Move into a partnerships coordinator or junior alliances role to get exposure to partner programs. From there, demonstrate the ability to own partner relationships end to end, enable partners to generate pipeline, and report on partner-sourced revenue to advance into a full strategic partner manager role.
Can you get hired as a strategic partner manager without direct partnerships experience?
Yes, especially if you come from account management, customer success, or a sales development role where you managed external relationships and worked cross-functionally. Employers value candidates who understand how to influence outcomes through a third party rather than direct selling. Highlight any co-selling, referral coordination, or vendor management experience, and be specific about the business outcomes you contributed to in those adjacent roles.
What does the strategic partner manager interview process look like?
Most processes include an initial recruiter screen, a hiring manager conversation focused on your partnership philosophy and past program experience, and at least one cross-functional interview with sales, product, or marketing stakeholders. Expect a case study or presentation round where you are asked to outline how you would launch, prioritize, or grow a partner program. Final rounds often include a conversation with the VP of Partnerships or a senior business leader evaluating strategic fit.
Where can I find and apply to strategic partner manager jobs?
You can find and apply to strategic partner manager jobs on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings from companies across the United States. Find roles that match your experience and specialization from the listings on this page and apply directly to each one.
