Entry Level Supply Chain Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level supply chain job?
Entry level supply chain employers look for candidates who understand core concepts like inventory management, demand planning, and procurement basics, whether from coursework, internships, or hands-on projects. Certifications such as APICS CSCP or a Six Sigma foundation can set a junior candidate apart. Tailoring your resume to show data analysis skills and attention to detail gives you a clear edge at this stage.
Which companies hire entry level supply chains?
Companies hiring entry level supply chains right now include Amazon, Ryder System, and Walmart, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Hiring covers manufacturers, retailers, logistics providers, and large consumer goods companies that run structured graduate programs or rotational tracks designed specifically for new and junior hires.
Are there remote entry level supply chain jobs?
Yes, though on-site roles are still the majority at this level. About 11% of entry level supply chain openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, concentrated mainly in roles like supply chain analyst, demand planner, and procurement coordinator where most of the work happens in systems and spreadsheets rather than on a warehouse floor.
Are these new grad supply chain jobs?
Yes, the roles here include new grad, recent graduate, and junior supply chain positions. A new grad-friendly posting typically welcomes zero to two years of experience, counts internships or co-ops toward that threshold, and treats a strong academic project or relevant certification as equivalent to early professional work. Look for language like 'entry level,' 'new graduate,' or 'no prior experience required' in the listing.
Which industries hire the most entry level supply chains?
Entry Level supply chain roles concentrate in Retail, Technology & Software, and Manufacturing, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. These sectors drive hiring at this level because they run high-volume, complex supply networks that need a steady pipeline of junior analysts and coordinators to manage inventory, sourcing, and distribution alongside more experienced teams.
