How do I get a talent acquisition manager job in Houston?
Target Houston's heaviest hiring sectors: energy and oilfield services, large health systems, and engineering and construction firms. Jobs concentrate in the Energy Corridor, Texas Medical Center area, and Greenway Plaza. Candidates who stand out typically have experience recruiting for technical or clinical roles, familiarity with high-volume hiring, and a network inside Houston's tight-knit industry communities. Local recruiting association involvement also helps.
Which companies hire talent acquisition managers in Houston?

Houston's employer mix leans heavily toward large energy operators, hospital networks, engineering and construction contractors, and regional financial institutions, all of which run substantial recruiting operations in-house.
Are there remote talent acquisition manager jobs in Houston?
Yes, though most senior talent acquisition manager roles tied to Houston's energy and healthcare sectors still prefer on-site or hybrid presence for stakeholder collaboration. About 35% of talent acquisition manager openings tied to Houston are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, with sourcing, employer branding, and early-funnel coordination being the functions most likely to stay fully remote.
How can I get a talent acquisition manager job in Houston with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Houston is starting as a recruiter or HR coordinator inside a large energy company, health system, or staffing agency that services those sectors. Employers like major hospital networks and midsize engineering firms regularly hire early-career recruiters into structured programs. Building experience closing technical requisitions, then moving into a team lead or manager role, is the standard local progression.
