INTRODUCTION
It's more than a job
As part of the HR team at Kuehne+Nagel, you will help build careers, nurture talent, and empower people to succeed. Your work doesn’t stop at HR - it drives the entire supply chain forward. By attracting and developing the right people, you ensure that our operations run smoothly, so medical equipment reaches hospitals on time, toys arrive in stores for the holidays, and fresh flowers make it to local florists. Every great logistics solution starts with great people - and that’s where you come in.
The Global Talent Acquisition Center is looking for a Talent Acquisition Manager to own the execution and service delivery behind our white-collar recruitment strategy across the United States and Canada. In this role, you'll work closely with the Head of Talent Acquisition and Heads of HR to lead a team of recruiters, partner with senior leaders, and shape how we attract and hire the talent that keeps our freight forwarding and functional units moving. If you thrive on driving a hiring process that attracts top talent, coaching a team, and making a measurable difference to our hiring leaders across a geographically dispersed business, we'd love to hear from you.
HOW YOU CREATE IMPACT
- Partner with senior leadership to design and implement high-volume hiring strategies tailored to our sites across the United States and Canada.
- Deliver innovative local talent attraction strategies for hard-to-fill positions, staying current with our competition and market dynamics and implementing proactive initiatives to stay competitive.
- Personally manage the recruitment processes for executive-level or complex hires, including candidate and stakeholder management and conducting interviews to assess leadership talent.
- Lead and work alongside a team of recruiters, prioritizing workloads and supporting hiring managers to fill open roles efficiently.
- Act as first escalation point for hiring leaders and HR Partners and collaborate with Head of TAC to identify and address root cause.
- Bring global talent attraction and acquisition initiatives to life — implementing them, tracking them, and measuring what works.
- Be an active voice in Hemisphere TA and National HR meetings, collaborating closely with HRBPs, Talent Acquisition Specialists, and business managers.
- Manage vendor relationships, including agencies and talent attraction vendors, ensuring our needs are met and expenses are managed according to procurement and finance policy.
- Take a critical eye to current processes, championing improvements and tracking the KPIs that keep the team sharp.
- Turn data and reports into actionable recommendations that drive better hiring decisions.
- Stay ahead of labor legislation for United States and Canada, keeping recruiters and managers informed as regulations evolve. Partner with legal or HR Compliance where required.
- Collaborate with Employee Services, Total Rewards, Talent Development to manage cross-functional processes and suggest local improvements.
- Travel domestically as required.
WHAT WE WOULD LIKE YOU TO BRING
- A bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field.
- 5–7 years of recruiting experience, including at least 2 years managing people; United States and Canada recruitment experience required.
- Customer service mindset; no task is too small attitude.
- A track record in high-volume recruitment — ideally within freight forwarding, warehousing, or light manufacturing environments.
- Proven experience leading a team and balancing competing priorities in a matrix-management environment.
- Strong multi-tasking skills.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- A creative mindset that challenges the status quo and pushes your team to do the same.
- Basic project management skills and strong analytical ability to produce meaningful hiring reports.
- Strengths in leadership, performance management, sound judgment, commercial acumen, customer orientation, and teamwork.
- Experience utilizing AI tools and an interest in learning more in this area.

Tips for Your Talent Acquisition Manager Job Search
Quantify your hiring pipeline results
Recruiters reviewing your resume want to see volume, speed, and quality metrics. Highlight the number of requisitions you managed at once, your average time-to-fill by role level, and offer acceptance rates to show you can close.
Tailor your resume to each function
Talent acquisition manager roles differ sharply between a high-volume hourly environment and an executive search function. Reframe your bullets to match the hiring context in the job posting, whether that is campus pipelines, technical recruiting, or leadership-level searches.
Apply early to roles that fit
Migrate Mate lists talent acquisition manager openings from across the United States in one place, so you can find roles that match and apply directly to each listing.
Highlight your ATS and sourcing tool fluency
Most postings specify the applicant tracking systems and sourcing platforms a team already uses. Name the ones you know early in your resume summary so hiring managers see the fit immediately rather than hunting for it.
Prepare a data-backed case study for interviews
Talent acquisition interviews almost always include a scenario question about a hard-to-fill role. Walk in ready to describe a specific search, the sourcing strategy you built, where it stalled, and what you changed to close it.
Negotiate scope, not just compensation
When you reach the offer stage, ask about requisition load, recruiting coordinator support, and hiring manager responsiveness. A team without those structures will limit your ability to perform, so clarify expectations before you accept.
Talent Acquisition Manager Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
Which companies are hiring the most talent acquisition managers?
The companies hiring the most talent acquisition managers right now include KFC, Robert Half, and The Western and Southern Life Insurance Company, with the largest share of openings in California, Texas, and New York, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Demand is consistently strong in technology, healthcare systems, and large retail and financial services organizations that run ongoing high-volume hiring.
How many talent acquisition manager jobs are remote?
About 13% of talent acquisition manager openings are fully remote or hybrid as of June 2026, making it one of the more flexible functions in human resources. Roles focused on corporate or technical recruiting tend to offer the most remote flexibility, while high-volume hourly or campus recruiting positions are more likely to require an on-site presence.
How do you become a talent acquisition manager?
Most talent acquisition managers move up from a recruiter or sourcing specialist role, building full-cycle hiring experience across multiple business functions. From there, demonstrating the ability to manage stakeholder relationships, coach junior recruiters, and own recruiting metrics positions you for a manager title. Earning an HR certification and developing familiarity with workforce planning strengthens your candidacy further.
Can you get a talent acquisition manager job with limited experience?
Breaking in with limited experience is possible if you can demonstrate strong sourcing results and stakeholder management from adjacent roles such as staffing agency work, HR coordination, or people operations. Focusing on smaller companies or start-ups where the recruiting function is lean and the manager role carries hands-on execution, rather than team oversight, lowers the experience bar considerably.
What does the talent acquisition manager interview process look like?
The process typically starts with a recruiter screen, followed by a hiring manager conversation focused on your sourcing philosophy and metrics. From there, most companies include a panel interview with HR business partners and functional leaders, and often a presentation or case study where you walk through how you would approach a challenging search. Reference checks are standard before an offer is extended.
Where can I find and apply to talent acquisition manager jobs?
You can find and apply to talent acquisition manager jobs on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings from across the United States. Search the listings to find roles that match your experience and specialization, then apply directly to each one that fits.
