INTRODUCTION
The Talent Acquisition Specialist is a member of the ABS Global Talent Acquisition (TA) team. Our TA team is a Center of Excellence (COE) that supports the hiring efforts of three wholly owned ABS organizations. These organizations operate in 61 countries and have approximately 7,000 team members. This opportunity provides a professional work environment, work-life balance, and a competitive compensation and benefits package. The position also provides the recruiting professional with the tools, resources, and support needed to be successful in a collaborative and respectful environment.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Primarily support hiring needs within the United States and occasionally Canada.
- Leverage recruiting experience to support hiring across Engineering, Information Technology (IT), Operations, Business Development (BD), Financial Services, and Cybersecurity.
- Proactively create staffing strategies and identify alternative methods for attracting candidates to assigned open positions.
- Work professionally with other HR team members, including Recruiters, Coordinators, HR Business Partners, Compensation, and various levels of HR management.
- Report weekly on assigned openings through standardized reporting and live sessions with members of management and Human Resources.
- Manage assigned openings from the requisition creation stage through offer creation and acceptance. All functions are performed digitally within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
- Operate as a talent acquisition partner to assigned departments and take the initiative to learn the business and how talent acquisition impacts operations.
- Partner, on occasion, with College Recruiting to help attract recent college graduates and interns.
- Travel, on occasion, to events including college recruiting and industry career fairs.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- At least four (4) years of recruiting experience is preferred.
- Solid experience using common tools to source passive candidates, including LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, and similar platforms.
- Experience using an Applicant Tracking System (Oracle Recruiting Cloud - ORC preferred).
- Experience managing up to 25 requisitions simultaneously in a corporate environment is preferred.
- Experience sourcing passive candidates to fill difficult-to-fill roles.
- Comfortable utilizing AI tools to assist with sourcing and interviewing candidates.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to work with team members in a respectful and professional manner.
- Ability to work in a diverse environment where respect for others is expected.
- Ability to travel, on occasion and with notice, in support of recruiting events.
- Skilled at engaging with all levels of management, including executive leadership, in a professional manner.
- Ability to provide feedback and direction tactfully and diplomatically to Hiring Managers when needed.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge of employment law related to recruiting and staffing.
- Exposure to recruiting metrics including Time to Fill, Time to Hire, and Days Open.
- Experience with government hiring requirements including ITAR and security clearances.
SCHEDULE AND LOCATION:
- The position has a hybrid work schedule consisting of Tuesday through Thursday in the office. Monday and Friday provide the option to work remotely or from the office.
- This role is located at our modern ten-story corporate headquarters in Spring, Texas.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:
The professional will report to a senior-level member of management and will have no direct reports. The professional should be comfortable working in a collaborative environment where team members interact frequently in a constructive and respectful manner. It is common for the Talent Acquisition Specialist to represent the TA team in meetings with all levels of management and provide briefings to HR leadership when needed.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
The work environment will be in an air-conditioned office setting requiring the employee to sit for prolonged periods while talking on the phone, reading from a computer monitor, and typing on a keyboard. In addition, the team member may occasionally lift items weighing up to 10 pounds. At times, the team member may be asked to travel by common transportation to recruiting or other work-related events. Some overnight travel may be required with advance notice.
