Tax Planning Manager

We're seeking a Tax Planning Manager to own tax plan delivery and compliance oversight for a dedicated set of clients at Accruity. Over the past year we stood up our tax division, built our core service offerings, and completed our first full compliance season. You'll step into a functioning team with an established planning framework, real client demand, and v1 systems already in place — your job is to deliver against that framework at a consistently high standard, not to build it from scratch.

What You’ll Do

• Client Tax Plan Delivery – Deliver tax plans and compliance work directly to your assigned book of clients, applying Accruity's established planning framework to identify and execute tax-saving strategies.
• Timely Filing Oversight – Own the completion, accuracy, and deadlines of filings for your clients - keeping engagements on schedule through the compliance season and escalating risk early.
• System & Engagement Accuracy – Maintain accurate, well-documented work papers and engagement records in our tax systems, supporting clean handoffs and audit-ready files.
• Tax Subject Matter Expertise – Serve as the technical tax expert on shared client engagements - collaborating with the Insights delivery lead to review deliverables and partnering with account management on complex planning questions.

What We’re Looking For

• CPA, EA, or JD in Taxation — required to deliver compliance and advisory services.
• 4+ years of experience in tax compliance, preparation, and advisory work.
• Strong knowledge of real estate and service-based business taxation and entity structuring.
• Proven ability to manage a book of client engagements accurately and on deadline.
• Comfort working inside established systems, SOPs, and a defined planning framework.
• Clear client-facing communication skills and a service-minded approach to relationship management.
• Familiarity with tax technology platforms; comfort adopting AI-driven tooling a plus.
