Territory Manager Jobs in Chicago: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a territory manager job in Chicago?
Focus your search on Chicago's densest hiring sectors: medical and surgical device companies headquartered near the Merchandise Mart, food and beverage distributors operating out of the Southwest Side and suburban logistics hubs, and B2B technology firms concentrated in the Loop and River North. Candidates who can show a defined patch they have worked before and a network of buyers or clinical contacts in the Chicago metro stand out most in local hiring conversations.
Which companies hire territory managers in Chicago?
Employers hiring territory managers in Chicago right now include Sierra Pacific Industries, Baxter, and Pure Storage, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Chicago's mix of Fortune 500 headquarters, regional distributors, and mid-market manufacturers means openings range from large national sales organizations to locally owned specialty suppliers covering the six-county metro area.
Are there remote territory manager jobs in Chicago?
Yes, though territory manager roles are less remote-friendly than most sales positions because the job centers on in-person account visits and physical coverage of a defined geography. About 51% of territory manager openings tied to Chicago are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, with the remote portion skewing toward analytical, inside-sales, or key-account coordination roles rather than field-coverage positions in Chicago's medical or distribution sectors.
How can I get a territory manager job in Chicago with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Chicago is landing a sales development representative or inside sales role at one of the city's many distribution or med-device companies, then moving into a junior territory role after demonstrating consistent quota attainment. Chicago's large regional distributors and consumer-goods companies based in the western suburbs regularly hire entry-level field reps and promote internally, making them strong starting points for candidates building their first geographic patch.
Which industries hire the most territory managers in Chicago?
Most territory manager openings in Chicago sit in Manufacturing, Medical Devices, and Technology & Software, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Chicago's role as a Midwest logistics hub, a major healthcare and life-sciences market, and a regional headquarters city for national consumer brands drives consistent demand across those sectors year-round.
