Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding TN Visa Sponsorship as an Airport Manager
Frame your credentials around specialty occupation
Airport Manager roles qualify under TN visa only when tied to a specific USMCA category. Structure your resume and cover letter to show your degree directly supports the management or engineering functions of the role, not just general leadership.
Target airports with international operations first
Large commercial and cargo airports with cross-border routes are more familiar with TN visa filings for management staff. Prioritize facilities that already coordinate with CBP or handle binational logistics, as their HR teams are better positioned to support your petition.
Get your credential evaluation done early
If your aviation management degree is from a Canadian or Mexican institution, have it evaluated for U.S. equivalency before applying. CBP officers at the port of entry assess credentials on the spot, and a foreign credential evaluation report removes ambiguity.
Clarify TN eligibility with your offer letter language
The job offer letter is the backbone of your TN application. It must name the specific USMCA category, describe how your duties align, and confirm the position is temporary in nature. Vague or generic descriptions are the most common reason CBP asks follow-up questions.
Use Migrate Mate to find TN-sponsoring employers
Searching for Airport Manager roles that explicitly support TN visa sponsorship saves time you'd otherwise spend screening employers one by one. Migrate Mate filters for TN-eligible positions, so you can focus on employers already set up to file.
Understand the Mexican cap before you start negotiating
Mexican nationals are subject to an annual TN allocation, unlike Canadians who get same-day CBP decisions. If you're Mexican, factor USCIS processing timelines into your start date negotiation so your employer doesn't set an unrealistic onboarding date.
Airport Manager TN Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
Does the Airport Manager job title qualify for a TN visa?
It depends on how the role is scoped. Airport Manager positions qualify under the USMCA when they fall within a recognized TN category such as management consultant or engineer. The key is whether your duties and degree align with a specific USMCA classification. Generic management titles without a clear specialty occupation framing are harder to support at CBP.
How does TN visa sponsorship compare to H-1B for Airport Manager roles?
TN has no annual lottery and no cap for Canadian citizens, which means you're not competing for a limited pool of slots the way H-1B visa applicants are. H-1B requires a full USCIS petition and a waiting period; Canadian TN applicants get a decision at the port of entry the same day. Mexican nationals go through consular processing, but still avoid the H-1B lottery entirely.
Where can I find Airport Manager jobs that offer TN visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for Canadian and Mexican professionals searching for roles that support TN visa sponsorship. Rather than filtering through general job listings and guessing at employer immigration policies, you can search positions where TN sponsorship is already confirmed, including Airport Manager and related aviation management roles.
What documents do I need for a TN application as an Airport Manager?
You'll need a job offer letter that specifies the USMCA category, describes your duties, confirms the temporary nature of the position, and states your credentials. You'll also need proof of citizenship, your degree or diploma, and any professional licenses relevant to aviation management. Canadian citizens present these directly at the port of entry; Mexican nationals submit them through a U.S. consulate.
Can I switch Airport Manager employers while on a TN visa?
Yes, but you need a new TN authorization before starting with the new employer. TN status is employer-specific, so your existing approval doesn't transfer. Canadian citizens can apply at the port of entry with the new employer's offer letter. Mexican nationals need to apply through a U.S. consulate or file a change of employer petition with USCIS, which takes additional time to process.
