Translate your credentials for U.S. employers
Canadian and Mexican degrees are accepted for TN visa eligibility, but your transcript must clearly show a bachelor's in marketing, business, or communications. Unofficial transcripts slow offers down. Request a certified copy before you start applying.
Target employers experienced with visa sponsorship
Brand Partnerships Manager roles sit in a gray zone between Marketing and Management Consultant TN categories. Employers experienced with visa sponsorship are less likely to stall on the classification question during the offer stage.
Use Migrate Mate to find TN-ready opportunities
Search Migrate Mate to identify Brand Partnerships Manager openings at companies with recent visa filings and experience with sponsorship processes. Filtering by employer sponsorship experience saves time compared to cold outreach to employers unfamiliar with work visa requirements.
Clarify the TN category before signing the offer
Ask your employer which TN category they plan to file under before accepting. Misclassifying a Brand Partnerships role under the wrong category is a common reason CBP denies entry at the port. Get this confirmed in writing.
Prepare a role-specific TN support letter
The employer's support letter must connect your specific duties to a qualifying TN occupation. Generic letters that describe broad partnership or sales work without linking to the management or marketing professional standards get flagged by CBP officers.
Understand the Mexican TN visa stamp process
Mexican citizens apply at a U.S. consulate and receive a visa stamp before traveling, unlike Canadians who present documents at the border. Schedule your consulate appointment early since Brand Partnerships roles in marketing hubs often see slower slots.
Brand Partnerships Manager TN Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Brand Partnerships Manager role qualify for a TN visa?
It depends on how the role is scoped. Brand Partnerships Manager positions can qualify under the TN Management Consultant or Marketing categories, but only if your duties align with those professional definitions. Roles that are primarily sales-focused without a marketing or consulting component are harder to classify under TN and risk CBP denial at entry.
How does the TN visa compare to H-1B for Brand Partnerships Manager roles?
TN has no annual lottery and no cap for Canadian citizens, so you can start working as soon as CBP approves your application at the border or port of entry. H-1B visa requires entering a lottery with roughly a one-in-three selection rate. TN is renewable indefinitely in three-year increments, but it does not lead directly to a green card the way H-1B cap-subject status can.
Where can I find Brand Partnerships Manager jobs with TN visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for Canadian and Mexican professionals looking for roles with confirmed TN sponsorship. You can filter by job title and visa type, which removes the guesswork of cold-applying to employers who have never filed a TN petition and don't know how to start the process for a Brand Partnerships role.
Can a Canadian citizen apply for a Brand Partnerships Manager TN visa at the border?
Yes. Canadian citizens can present their TN application documents at a U.S. port of entry or preclearance location and receive approval on the spot if CBP is satisfied with the classification and credentials. You'll need your employer's support letter, your degree, and proof the role qualifies under a recognized TN category. Mexican citizens must go through a consulate first.
What happens if my Brand Partnerships Manager TN visa is denied at the border?
CBP can deny entry if they find the role doesn't clearly fit a TN occupation category, your support letter is vague, or your degree doesn't match the claimed position. You're generally allowed to withdraw the application and re-enter as a visitor, then refile with corrected documentation. Work with your employer to tighten the support letter and category justification before trying again.
