Verify your credential aligns with TN categories
Clinical Care Coordinator roles qualify under the TN nurse or social worker category depending on your degree. Confirm your Canadian or Mexican credential maps to a recognized TN professional designation before targeting employers, or you may face a port-of-entry denial.
Translate your credentials into U.S. care standards
Canadian and Mexican care coordination certifications are not automatically recognized by U.S. employers. Request a credential evaluation letter from a NACES-member organization before applying so hiring managers can map your qualifications to their role requirements.
Confirm employer readiness before accepting an offer
Ask whether the employer has filed TN letters before and whether HR understands the difference between TN and H-1B sponsorship. Employers unfamiliar with TN may default to H-1B, triggering unnecessary delays or a lottery outcome for a visa category that has no cap.
Use Migrate Mate to find verified TN sponsoring employers
Search Migrate Mate to identify Clinical Care Coordinator roles at employers who actively sponsor TN professionals. Filtering by TN eligibility saves you from cold applications at organizations that only support H-1B or don't sponsor international candidates at all.
Prepare your TN support letter before negotiating a start date
Canadian professionals typically receive TN status at the port of entry, which requires an employer-issued support letter describing the role and qualifying profession. Get that letter finalized before committing to a start date so there's no gap if CBP asks follow-up questions.

Find Clinical Care Coordinator JobsClinical Care Coordinator TN Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Clinical Care Coordinator role qualify for a TN visa?
It depends on your degree and how the employer defines the role. Clinical Care Coordinator positions typically qualify under the TN nurse category if you hold a nursing credential, or under social worker or allied health categories if your degree supports those designations. The job duties and your credentials must align with a recognized TN professional category, and the employer's support letter needs to reflect that match precisely.
How does TN visa sponsorship compare to H-1B for this role?
TN is faster and more predictable than H-1B for Clinical Care Coordinator roles. There is no annual lottery for Canadians, no cap, and Canadian applicants can often receive TN status at the port of entry on the same day. H-1B requires a petitions process through USCIS, a lottery with limited slots, and months of waiting. Mexican professionals face a separate TN allocation, but the process still avoids the H-1B lottery entirely.
What documents does a Canadian applicant need at the port of entry?
You'll need your Canadian passport, a detailed employer support letter outlining the role title, qualifying TN profession category, and intended duration of employment, plus proof of your professional credentials such as a nursing license or degree. Some officers also request a credential evaluation for foreign-trained professionals. Having your documents organized and ready reduces the risk of a secondary review that delays your entry.
Where can I find Clinical Care Coordinator jobs that offer TN visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate lets you filter for Clinical Care Coordinator roles at employers who actively sponsor TN visas, so you're not sending applications to organizations that only support H-1B or don't sponsor at all. Searching by TN eligibility from the start saves significant time and avoids the frustration of reaching the offer stage only to discover the employer can't support your visa status.
Can a Mexican citizen get TN sponsorship for a Clinical Care Coordinator role?
Yes. Mexican professionals are eligible for TN status under USMCA and can work as Clinical Care Coordinators if their credentials match a qualifying TN professional category. Unlike Canadians who apply at the border, Mexican applicants must go through consular processing at a U.S. embassy or consulate in Mexico. A separate annual allocation applies, but demand rarely exhausts the available TN slots for Mexican professionals in healthcare roles.
