Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding TN Visa Sponsorship as a Clinical Case Manager
Align your credentials to USMCA's Social Worker category
TN visa eligibility for Clinical Case Managers requires a baccalaureate or licenciatura degree in social work. Confirm your Canadian or Mexican credential maps to this field before applying, since a nursing or psychology degree alone won't satisfy the category definition.
Target healthcare systems with established TN hiring
Hospital networks, federally qualified health centers, and behavioral health organizations regularly sponsor TN visas for case management roles. Search for postings that list USMCA or TN visa as an accepted work authorization, which signals the employer already understands the filing process.
Verify your state license transfers to the role
Some states require Licensed Clinical Social Worker credentials for case manager positions billed to Medicaid or Medicare. Confirm the employer's specific licensure expectations before the offer stage, since a TN visa won't override state-level practice requirements for clinical titles.
Use Migrate Mate to find employers actively sponsoring TN roles
Search Migrate Mate's database to identify Clinical Case Manager postings at employers with recent visa filings. Leading with employers experienced with work visa sponsorship saves time that would otherwise go toward cold outreach at organizations unfamiliar with the TN visa process.
Prepare your support letter before negotiating the offer
Your employer must issue a support letter describing your role, qualifications, and intended TN status before your border crossing or consular appointment. Drafting a detailed job description with the hiring team early prevents delays after you've already accepted the offer.
Request Canadian border processing to accelerate your start date
Canadian citizens can obtain TN status at a U.S. land port of entry or preclearance location the same day, bypassing consular appointment wait times. Bring your degree, support letter, and license documentation to avoid a secondary inspection that could delay your entry.

Find Clinical Case Manager JobsClinical Case Manager TN Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
Does the Clinical Case Manager job title qualify for TN visa status?
Yes, Clinical Case Manager roles qualify under the USMCA Social Worker occupational category when the position requires a baccalaureate or licenciatura degree in social work and the duties involve direct client assessment, care coordination, or discharge planning. Titles like Care Coordinator or Case Management Specialist may also qualify if the underlying duties and degree requirement match the Social Worker definition.
How does TN visa sponsorship compare to H-1B for Clinical Case Manager roles?
TN visa sponsorship is significantly more practical for this role. H-1B requires employer registration, a lottery selection with no guaranteed result, and a cap-subject petition process that can take over a year. TN has no lottery, no cap for Canadian citizens, and Canadians can obtain status at the border the same day an employer issues a support letter. Mexican citizens require consular processing but still avoid the H-1B lottery entirely.
What documents does my employer need to provide for my TN application?
Your employer must provide a signed support letter on company letterhead that describes the position title, your specific duties, the qualifying degree required, your intended start date, and confirmation that the role is TN-eligible under the USMCA Social Worker category. The letter does not require government pre-approval, but it must be detailed enough to satisfy a CBP officer at the port of entry (for Canadian citizens) or a consular officer at your visa interview (for Mexican citizens).
How can I find Clinical Case Manager jobs with TN visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for Canadian and Mexican professionals searching for TN-eligible positions. You can filter for Clinical Case Manager roles at employers with recent visa filings, which demonstrates they have experience navigating work visa sponsorship. Generic job boards don't filter by visa category, so you'll often spend time on roles where sponsorship isn't available.
Can I switch Clinical Case Manager employers while on TN status?
Yes, but your TN status is employer-specific and does not carry over automatically. When you change employers, you need a new TN authorization tied to the new organization. Canadian citizens can obtain this at a port of entry with a new support letter from the incoming employer. Mexican citizens must schedule a new consular appointment. You should not begin work with the new employer until the new TN is approved.
