Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding TN Visa Sponsorship as an Endoscopy Registered Nurse
Get your NCLEX credentials verified early
TN visa sponsorship for RN roles requires proof of U.S. licensure or eligibility. If you passed NCLEX in Canada or Mexico, request an official transcript and license verification letter from your state nursing board before job searching begins.
Target ambulatory surgical centers specifically
Freestanding endoscopy and ambulatory surgical centers file TN petitions more straightforwardly than large hospital systems, which often route new hires through slower HR approval chains. Smaller GI-focused facilities may offer faster offer-to-start timelines.
Ask hiring managers about TN filing experience
Before accepting an offer, confirm the employer has filed TN petitions for nurses before. Employers unfamiliar with the nurse category sometimes misclassify endoscopy RNs under incorrect USMCA occupation codes, which causes delays at the port of entry.
Use Migrate Mate to find TN-sponsoring employers
Search Migrate Mate to identify endoscopy and GI nurse roles at employers with recent visa filings who are experienced with work visa sponsorship. Filtering by role and visa type upfront saves time and keeps your applications focused on realistic opportunities.
Prepare your offer letter for CBP review
Canadian RNs applying at the border need an offer letter that explicitly states the nursing job duties, your degree, and the TN classification. CBP officers review this on the spot, so vague or generic offer letters are a common rejection trigger.
Understand the Mexican TN consular process
Mexican nationals cannot self-petition at a port of entry and must apply at a U.S. consulate. Build in consular appointment lead time, since GI nursing roles still require the employer to document specialty occupation status during the interview.
Endoscopy Registered Nurse TN Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
Does an endoscopy RN role qualify for TN visa status?
Yes. Registered nurses are explicitly listed as a qualifying profession under the USMCA TN category. Endoscopy RNs qualify because the role requires an active RN license and meets the degree and licensure standards the treaty requires. You'll need proof of your nursing degree and a valid RN license in the state where you'll be working.
How does the TN visa compare to the H-1B for endoscopy nursing jobs?
The TN visa has no annual lottery and no cap for Canadians, making it a faster and more predictable path than the H-1B visa. Canadian RNs can receive TN status at a port of entry on the same day. H-1B requires a lottery selection, a minimum six-month wait, and employer sponsorship through a more complex USCIS petition process. For most Canadian and Mexican endoscopy nurses, TN is the more practical route.
Where can I find endoscopy RN jobs that offer TN visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate lets you search specifically for endoscopy and GI nursing roles at employers with recent visa filings, indicating experience with visa sponsorship. General job boards don't filter by visa type, so you can spend weeks applying to roles where the employer may not support a TN visa application. Filtering by role and visa category at the start of your search saves significant time.
Can I switch endoscopy nursing employers while on a TN visa?
Yes, but you need a new TN authorization before starting with the new employer. Your current TN status is tied to the specific employer named in your petition. Canadian nurses can obtain a new TN at a port of entry with a new offer letter. Mexican nationals must return to a U.S. consulate. There is no grace period that allows you to work for a new employer while the new TN is pending.
What documents does my endoscopy nursing employer need to file the TN petition?
Your employer will need your nursing degree transcripts, proof of your active RN license in the relevant state, a detailed offer letter specifying your endoscopy duties and employment terms, and documentation confirming you are a Canadian or Mexican citizen. USCIS reviews these materials if the employer files by mail, while CBP reviews them at the border for Canadian applicants seeking same-day entry.
