Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding TN Visa Sponsorship as a Global Marketing Manager
Align your credentials to USMCA categories
TN status for marketing management routes through the Management Consultant category, not a standalone marketing classification. Your degree and offer letter must frame your role around strategic advisory functions, not day-to-day execution. A mismatch here is the most common denial trigger.
Target employers with international marketing infrastructure
Multinationals coordinating campaigns across U.S. and Canadian or Mexican markets already understand cross-border employment. Prioritize companies with dedicated global or regional marketing divisions where your binational fluency is a hiring advantage, not a compliance puzzle to solve.
Request a detailed offer letter before any filing
CBP officers evaluate your offer letter on the spot for Canadian applicants. It must name the TN category, describe your duties in strategy-level language, state your start date, and confirm your employer's U.S. entity. Vague letters get turned away at the border.
Search TN-sponsored roles using Migrate Mate
Filtering by TN sponsorship availability eliminates roles where you'd need to educate the hiring team from scratch. Migrate Mate surfaces Global Marketing Manager openings from employers already prepared to support TN filings, so your outreach targets decision-ready hiring managers.
Prepare for Mexican applicants' consular appointment timeline
Mexican citizens cannot enter at the land border for TN status the way Canadians can. You'll schedule a consular interview at a U.S. embassy in Mexico, which adds lead time. Build at least six to eight weeks into your start-date negotiations to account for appointment availability.
Clarify TN renewal expectations before accepting an offer
TN status is granted in three-year increments with no statutory limit on renewals, but each renewal requires a continued qualifying job offer. Confirm before signing that your employer will support renewals and understands that a role restructure or title change can require a new filing.

Find Global Marketing Manager JobsGlobal Marketing Manager TN Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Global Marketing Manager role qualify for TN visa status?
It can, but the fit depends on how the role is framed. CBP typically approves Global Marketing Manager positions under the Management Consultant TN category when the duties emphasize strategic planning, cross-functional leadership, and advisory functions. Roles centered on campaign execution or tactical marketing without a strategic scope are harder to qualify. Your offer letter must reflect the strategic nature of the work.
How does the TN visa compare to H-1B for Global Marketing Manager roles?
TN has no lottery, no annual cap for Canadians, and no petition waiting period. H-1B requires employer sponsorship through a lottery with roughly a one-in-four selection rate and a six-month wait before you can start. For Canadian and Mexican professionals, TN is a direct path. The tradeoff is that TN does not support dual intent, so it's not a stepping stone to a green card the way H-1B is.
Can I find Global Marketing Manager jobs that already support TN sponsorship?
Yes, and targeting those employers saves significant time. Many companies with international operations are familiar with TN filings and will include it in their sponsorship options without requiring you to explain the process. Migrate Mate filters job listings by TN visa sponsorship availability so you can focus your search on employers already set up to hire through this pathway.
What happens if my employer restructures my role after I receive TN status?
If your title, reporting structure, or core duties change materially, your existing TN authorization may no longer cover the new role. You'd need to file for a new TN approval reflecting the updated position. This is especially relevant in marketing, where global roles frequently shift scope during reorgs. Address this scenario in your employment agreement before you start.
Does my employer need to file paperwork with USCIS to sponsor my TN visa?
For Canadian citizens, no USCIS petition is required. You present your employer's offer letter directly at a U.S. port of entry and CBP adjudicates on the spot. Mexican citizens require a TN visa issued through a U.S. consulate, which does involve a formal application process but still does not require a separate USCIS petition. Your employer's primary obligation is producing a compliant offer letter.
