- Design future-state operating models spanning claims, enrollment, billing, provider relations, UM, A&G, benefits administration, and member operations—with a focus on service delivery efficiency, scalability, and outcomes.
Operational Ecosystem & Service Integration Strategy
- Define how BPaaS service layers connect across the health plan ecosystem—including care management, provider data management, payment integrity, member engagement, and analytics.
- Identify opportunities to embed automation, AI-enabled workflows, and intelligent process orchestration into operational service models.
- Recommend operating model patterns that reduce administrative burden, improve turnaround times, and drive measurable cost and quality outcomes.
Sales & Pursuit Leadership
- Support Advisory and Sales teams on strategic BPaaS pursuits, proposals, and RFP responses.
- Lead operational discussions with COOs, VP Operations, and business transformation leaders—translating BPaaS capabilities into health plan business outcomes.

Transformation Advisory
- Conduct current-state assessments of Core Admin operations, staffing models, and process maturity.
- Create modernization roadmaps and platform transition strategies grounded in operational realities and health plan business priorities.
- Ensure proposed BPaaS solutions align with regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and long-term operational scalability.
Collaboration & Leadership
- Mentor team members on Core Admin operational domains, BPaaS service design principles, and health plan business context.
- Partner with technology and delivery teams to ensure operational feasibility and alignment with service model commitments.
- Represent Advisory in client workshops, executive sessions, and strategic planning forums.

Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding TN Visa Sponsorship as a Healthcare Consultant
Verify your degree meets TN requirements
TN visa eligibility for Healthcare Consultants depends on a bachelor's degree or higher in a health-related field such as public health, healthcare administration, or nursing. A general business or management degree alone won't satisfy CBP's specialty criteria.
Target employers experienced with visa sponsorship
Hospitals, managed care organizations, and large consulting firms with recent visa sponsorship experience are far easier to work with than those new to visa sponsorship. Ask HR during early screening whether they've sponsored work visas before—this indicates familiarity with visa processes and the support letter requirements needed for TN status.
Request a consulting-specific job offer letter
Your offer letter must describe duties that read as a consulting engagement, not a staff management or administrative role. CBP officers look for analytical, advisory, or evaluative language tied directly to your health-related degree field.
Prepare for Canadian border entry without pre-filing
Canadian citizens can apply for TN status at a U.S. port of entry on day one with a valid job offer and credentials. You don't need USCIS to pre-approve anything, which means you can start a role in days rather than months.
Understand Mexican TN processing through USCIS
Mexican nationals must file a TN petition with USCIS before starting work, which adds processing time compared to the Canadian border option. File well before your start date and factor in USCIS current processing timelines when negotiating your offer.
Search for sponsoring employers through Migrate Mate
Finding employers who actively support TN sponsorship for healthcare roles takes more than a keyword search. Migrate Mate filters Healthcare Consultant openings specifically by TN visa sponsorship, so you're not sorting through listings that won't work for your status.
Healthcare Consultant TN Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Healthcare Consultant role qualify for TN visa status?
Yes, if your duties are advisory or analytical and your degree is in a health-related field such as public health, healthcare administration, or a clinical discipline. CBP evaluates both the job description and your credentials together. A role that is primarily managerial or administrative, without a clear consulting function tied to your degree, is unlikely to qualify.
How does TN compare to H-1B for Healthcare Consultant positions?
TN is faster and more predictable for Canadian citizens, who can obtain status at a U.S. port of entry without waiting for USCIS to adjudicate a petition. H-1B visa requires winning a lottery with a roughly 25% selection rate and then waiting months for approval. Mexican nationals do use USCIS for TN, but there is still no lottery. The tradeoff is that TN does not lead to a green card on its own, while H-1B supports dual intent.
What documents do I need to bring to the border for TN entry as a Canadian Healthcare Consultant?
You need a valid Canadian passport, a signed employer offer letter describing your consulting duties and degree requirement, and your credential documents such as transcripts and your degree certificate. If your role involves clinical components, bring your professional license. CBP officers may also ask for the employer's business registration or evidence the company is a legitimate U.S. entity.
How can I find Healthcare Consultant jobs that offer TN visa sponsorship?
Most standard job listings don't specify TN sponsorship, which makes filtering efficiently difficult. Migrate Mate is built specifically for Canadian and Mexican professionals and lets you search Healthcare Consultant roles by TN visa sponsorship, saving you from applying to positions where the employer has no experience with the process or is unwilling to support it.
Can I switch employers on a TN visa if I find a better Healthcare Consultant role?
Yes, but your TN status is tied to a specific employer and a specific job description. Canadian citizens can change employers by presenting a new offer letter and credentials at a U.S. port of entry for a fresh TN entry. Mexican nationals must file a new USCIS petition before starting with the new employer. You cannot simply transfer TN status the way H-1B allows employer portability under certain conditions.
