Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding TN Visa Sponsorship as a Logistics Planner
Align your degree to the role classification
TN approval depends on matching your credential to the right USMCA occupation category. A logistics or supply chain degree fits the Scientific Technician pathway more cleanly than Management Consultant, so confirm which category your offer letter targets before filing.
Target companies with active supply chain operations
Manufacturers, third-party logistics firms, and large retailers with dedicated planning teams are most likely to understand TN sponsorship requirements. Employers already running cross-border supply chains between Canada, Mexico, and the U.S. have the internal HR experience to support your filing.
Get your offer letter to name specific duties
CBP officers review the offer letter at the port of entry for Canadians. A vague title like 'Logistics Planner' is not enough. The letter must describe duties that map directly to a qualifying USMCA occupation and confirm your role requires your specific degree field.
Use Migrate Mate to find sponsoring employers fast
Searching broadly for logistics roles wastes time on employers unfamiliar with TN visa requirements. Migrate Mate filters for companies actively offering TN sponsorship, so you can focus your applications on employers already set up to hire Canadian and Mexican professionals.
Prepare credential documentation before any interview
Canadian applicants need original degree transcripts, not copies, when presenting to CBP at the border. If your degree is from a Mexican or international institution, arrange a credential evaluation in advance so there are no delays once you have an offer in hand.
Understand the TN status duration and renewal cycle
TN status is granted in three-year increments with unlimited renewals, but each renewal requires a current employer letter and active employment. If your Logistics Planner role changes scope significantly, confirm with your employer that the updated duties still support the original occupation category.

Find Logistics Planner JobsLogistics Planner TN Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Logistics Planner role qualify for a TN visa?
It depends on how the role is structured and which USMCA occupation category it falls under. Logistics Planner positions can qualify under Management Consultant or Scientific Technician categories, but the offer letter must describe duties and educational requirements that clearly map to one of those classifications. Roles focused on analytical planning with a degree in logistics or supply chain are the strongest candidates.
How does TN visa sponsorship compare to H-1B for Logistics Planner jobs?
TN is significantly more accessible for this role. There is no annual lottery, no cap for Canadian citizens, and no long wait for approval. Canadian applicants can receive TN status at the port of entry the same day they present their documents. H-1B requires lottery selection and months of processing, making TN the practical first choice for Canadian and Mexican logistics professionals with a qualifying offer.
What documents does a Canadian applicant need at the border for a TN logistics role?
You need a valid Canadian passport, an employer offer letter describing your specific duties and confirming the TN occupation category, and original academic credentials showing a degree in a relevant field such as logistics, supply chain management, industrial engineering, or business. CBP officers assess all three elements at the port of entry before granting TN status.
Where can I find Logistics Planner jobs that already offer TN visa sponsorship?
Most general job boards do not filter by visa sponsorship type, so you end up sorting through listings from employers who have never handled TN filings. Migrate Mate is built specifically for Canadian and Mexican professionals and lets you search for Logistics Planner roles where employers are already prepared to support TN sponsorship, which cuts out the back-and-forth of asking each employer individually.
Can a Mexican citizen use TN visa sponsorship for a Logistics Planner position?
Yes, but the process differs from the Canadian route. Mexican citizens must apply for a TN visa at a U.S. consulate in Mexico rather than at the port of entry, which involves scheduling a consular interview and additional processing time. The qualification requirements are the same: a qualifying degree, a compliant offer letter, and a role that fits a recognized USMCA occupation category.
