Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding TN Visa Sponsorship as a Nursing Aide
Verify your credential equivalency before applying
TN classification for Nursing Aides requires proof your training meets U.S. standards. Gather your diploma, transcripts, and any provincial or national certifications before outreach so employers see a complete picture from the start.
Target long-term care facilities and hospital systems
Skilled nursing facilities, hospital networks, and rehabilitation centers have structured HR departments experienced with employment-based visa filings. These employers are more likely to have existing TN sponsorship workflows than small private clinics.
Ask employers about E-Verify enrollment upfront
Some states mandate E-Verify for healthcare employers, and enrollment affects your onboarding timeline. Confirming this during the interview stage prevents delays after you receive an offer and begin the TN filing process.
Search TN-sponsoring employers through Migrate Mate
Filtering by employers with recent visa filings saves significant time in your job search. Migrate Mate lets you search Nursing Aide roles by employer sponsorship experience so you prioritize employers already experienced with the work visa sponsorship process.
Prepare your offer letter for TN port of entry
Your TN documentation must include a detailed employer support letter stating your job duties, intended length of employment, and your professional capacity. A vague offer letter is the most common reason TN applications stall at the border or consulate.
Understand the consular route if you hold Mexican citizenship
Mexican nationals cannot use the Canadian land-border TN process. You'll schedule a consular interview at a U.S. embassy or consulate in Mexico, and the annual TN allocation means booking your appointment early in the fiscal year reduces wait risk.

Find Nursing Aide JobsNursing Aide TN Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Nursing Aide job qualify for the TN visa?
Yes, but the classification depends on how your employer frames the role. TN visa eligibility for Nursing Aides typically falls under the Scientific Technician/Technologist category, which requires a demonstrated connection between your training and the technical duties of the position. A generic job title alone is not enough. Your employer's offer letter must clearly describe duties that align with a recognized TN occupation category.
How does TN visa sponsorship for Nursing Aides compare to the H-1B?
The TN visa has no annual lottery, no cap for Canadian citizens, and no USCIS petition fee structure comparable to H-1B. H-1B requires employer sponsorship months in advance with lottery selection, while TN-eligible Canadians can sometimes receive approval at a U.S. port of entry the same day they present their documents. For Nursing Aide roles, this makes TN a significantly faster path to starting work legally.
What documents does my employer need to provide for TN sponsorship?
Your sponsoring employer must provide a signed support letter on company letterhead that specifies your job title, a description of duties, your professional credentials, the employment start date, and the intended duration. USCIS and CBP officers use this letter to assess TN eligibility. Missing or vague information in the letter is a leading cause of TN denials at the border for Nursing Aide applicants.
Where can I find Nursing Aide jobs that already offer TN visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for this search. Rather than filtering through general job listings, Migrate Mate lets you search Nursing Aide positions by employers with recent visa filings, so you can direct your applications toward employers already experienced with work visa sponsorship rather than starting from scratch with every outreach.
Can I renew my TN visa if I stay in the same Nursing Aide role?
Yes. TN status is granted in up to three-year increments and can be renewed without any cap or limit on the number of renewals, provided you maintain the same qualifying employment relationship. Your employer files a new support letter and you either apply for an extension through USCIS or reapply at the border. Continuity of the same role and employer simplifies the renewal process considerably.
