Mid Level Trade Compliance Analyst Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a mid level trade compliance analyst job?
Position your experience around concrete ownership: classifications you led, audits you managed, or compliance gaps you identified and closed. Highlight familiarity with HTS codes, export control regulations like EAR or ITAR, and any work with customs filings or denied-party screening. Certifications such as a Certified Classification Specialist or Licensed Customs Broker credential signal readiness for mid level responsibility and help your application stand out.
Which companies hire mid level trade compliance analysts?
Companies hiring mid level trade compliance analysts right now include Shield AI, Milwaukee Tool, and Amazon Web Services, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Mid level openings tend to come from manufacturers, importers, defense contractors, and large retailers that move goods across borders and need analysts who can work independently within established compliance programs.
Are there remote mid level trade compliance analyst jobs?
Yes, though availability varies by employer and role type. About 14% of mid level trade compliance analyst openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting how much of this work, including classification reviews, recordkeeping, and regulatory research, can be done without being on site. Roles tied to physical inspection or customs brokerage operations are more likely to require in-person presence.
How do I move up to a mid level trade compliance analyst role?
Growth from entry level to mid level comes from building depth in a core area, whether that is import classification, export licensing, or sanctions screening, and then demonstrating you can manage that area without close supervision. Taking ownership of a compliance audit, leading a process improvement, or training a junior colleague all signal readiness. Measurable impact, such as reducing classification errors or shortening clearance times, makes the strongest case for advancement.
Which industries hire the most mid level trade compliance analysts?
Mid Level trade compliance analyst roles concentrate in Manufacturing, Distribution & Wholesale, and Aerospace & Defense, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. These sectors drive demand because they operate complex global supply chains, face significant customs and export control obligations, and need analysts experienced enough to handle compliance decisions independently rather than under direct supervision.
