Validation Engineer Jobs in Washington: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a validation engineer in Washington?
Most validation engineer roles in Washington require a bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, biomedical, or systems engineering. Washington does not issue a state-specific validation engineer license, but employers in the life sciences sector strongly prefer candidates with a Certified Validation Professional credential or equivalent quality-system training. Aerospace employers aligned with Boeing's supply chain typically look for familiarity with AS9100 quality standards, while semiconductor firms in the greater Seattle area prioritize test automation proficiency alongside the engineering degree.
Which companies hire validation engineers in Washington?
Employers hiring validation engineers in Washington right now include Amazon, Evotec, and Sustainable Talent, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Washington's concentration of aerospace, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and cloud infrastructure companies means validation engineers here work across a wider mix of regulated industries than in most other states.
Which Washington cities have the most validation engineer jobs?
Redmond, Bothell, and Seattle account for the most validation engineer openings in Washington. Seattle and its eastside neighbors Kirkland and Redmond drive volume through aerospace primes and contractors, major technology campuses, and biotech manufacturers clustered along the I-405 corridor, while smaller hubs like Everett and Bothell reflect Boeing production facilities and a growing medical device manufacturing presence.
Are there remote validation engineer jobs in Washington?
Yes, but they're less common than in purely desk-based fields because much of the work requires hands-on access to equipment, production lines, or regulated lab environments. About 25% of validation engineer openings tied to Washington are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, with remote arrangements most available for roles focused on documentation review, software or firmware validation, and quality system auditing rather than physical protocol execution.
How can I get hired as a validation engineer in Washington with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is through a quality assurance technician or test technician role at a Washington aerospace or medical device manufacturer, then moving laterally into validation once you have protocol and documentation experience. Boeing and several Puget Sound life sciences companies run rotational engineering programs and co-op placements for recent graduates. Earning a Certified Validation Professional credential or completing a short course in FDA validation principles noticeably strengthens a new-grad application at Washington's regulated-industry employers.
Where can I find and apply to validation engineer jobs in Washington?
You can find and apply to validation engineer jobs in Washington on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings across the state. Search the available roles by location or specialization, find the ones that fit your background, and apply directly to each listing.
