Entry Level Vascular Surgeon Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level vascular surgeon job?
Completing a vascular surgery fellowship is the clearest path to an entry level position, and most employers at this stage prioritize clinical training, board eligibility, and hands-on procedural experience over years in practice. Highlighting your residency volume, specific vascular procedures you have performed, and any research or publications gives you a meaningful edge when competing for junior openings.
Which companies hire entry level vascular surgeons?
Companies hiring entry level vascular surgeons right now include Mayo Clinic, WellSpan Health, and Cone Health, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Health systems, academic medical centers, and multispecialty group practices tend to be the most active employers at this level, often seeking candidates who are board eligible or recently fellowship trained.
Are there remote entry level vascular surgeon jobs?
Yes, though most vascular surgeon roles require in-person patient care. About 0% of entry level vascular surgeon openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, and those positions typically involve telehealth consultations, post-operative follow-up, or administrative and research functions rather than surgical procedures.
Are these new grad vascular surgeon jobs?
Yes, these listings include new grad, recent graduate, and junior vascular surgeon roles. A new grad friendly posting typically welcomes candidates with zero to two years of independent experience, accepts fellowship training in place of attending-level tenure, and may note that board eligibility rather than board certification is sufficient to apply.
Which industries hire the most entry level vascular surgeons?
Entry Level vascular surgeon roles concentrate in Healthcare & Medical Services, Education, and Non-Profit & Social Services, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Those sectors drive hiring at this level because they operate high-volume vascular programs and regularly bring on fellowship-trained surgeons to expand procedural capacity and cover growing patient demand.
