We are seeking an experienced Vice President of Operations to join our executive leadership team. This individual will lead and execute the day-to-day operations of Secure Financial Group and its affiliated companies, supporting wealth management, registered investment advisory, insurance, and estate planning services. Working closely with ownership and senior leadership, this position will play a key role in driving operational excellence, supporting advisor growth, and helping shape the future of our organization.

Position Summary
The Vice President of Operations is responsible for leading and executing the day-to-day operational functions of Secure Financial Group while partnering with executive leadership to support strategic growth. This role combines operational leadership with hands-on execution and requires experience managing business processes, coordinating cross-functional initiatives, supporting advisor onboarding, and driving operational excellence across the organization.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesOperations Leadership
- Lead and execute the daily operations of Secure Financial Group and its affiliated companies, supporting wealth management, insurance, and estate planning services.
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve operational policies, procedures, and workflows.
- Partner with executive leadership to execute strategic initiatives and support organizational growth.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, scalability, and the overall advisor and client experience.
- Develop and maintain operational documentation, procedures, and best practices.
RIA Operations
- Execute and manage Registered Investment Adviser (RIA) billing through Orion Advisor Technology.
- Review billing reports, reconcile accounts, and ensure timely and accurate fee processing.
- Coordinate with advisors, custodians, and internal departments to resolve operational and billing-related matters.
- Maintain and improve operational procedures related to advisory billing and platform administration.
Advisor Onboarding
- Lead the operational onboarding of new financial advisors.
- Coordinate advisor transitions, including account setup, documentation, system implementation, and workflow management.
- Partner with Compliance, Operations, Technology, and Executive Leadership to ensure a seamless onboarding experience.
- Manage onboarding timelines and operational checklists to ensure successful advisor transitions.
Financial & Administrative Operations
- Support budgeting, operational reporting, and financial analysis.
- Utilize QuickBooks to support operational accounting functions and reporting.
- Prepare executive dashboards, reports, and operational metrics for leadership.
- Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and operational resources.
Project Management & Process Improvement
- Lead cross-functional operational projects from planning through implementation.
- Coordinate communication among internal departments and external business partners.
- Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, improve efficiencies, and enhance operational effectiveness.
- Support implementation of new technology, systems, and operational initiatives.
Leadership
- Foster a collaborative, positive, and service-focused culture.
- Provide guidance and support to team members while promoting accountability and continuous improvement.
- Work closely with executive leadership to identify and implement operational strategies that support long-term organizational success.
QualificationsRequired
- 3–5 years of operations experience within a Registered Investment Adviser (RIA), wealth management firm, insurance agency, or other financial services organization.
- Experience managing multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and follow-through.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to build strong relationships with advisors, team members, and business partners.
- A positive attitude with a willingness to learn, adapt, and continuously improve.
Preferred
- Experience onboarding financial advisors and coordinating advisor transitions.
- Experience with Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) billing utilizing Orion Advisor Technology.
- Experience with QuickBooks.
- Experience with Salesforce CRM.
- Knowledge of investment advisory operations and custodial platforms.
- Experience mentoring or leading team members.
