Senior Director Of Marketing Jobs in Kansas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a senior director of marketing in Kansas?
No state-issued license or Kansas-specific credential is required for senior director of marketing roles. The typical path is a bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or communications followed by progressive leadership experience inside Kansas industries like agriculture, aviation manufacturing, financial services, or healthcare. Many candidates in Kansas reach this level through internal promotions at large regional employers or by building a portfolio of measurable campaign and revenue results that speaks for itself in the hiring process.
How much do senior director of marketings make in Kansas?
Senior director of marketings in Kansas earn a median of about $154,510 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $97,870 for the lowest 10% to over $243,790 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire senior director of marketings in Kansas?
Employers hiring senior director of marketings in Kansas right now include AdamsBrown, Garmin, and Black & Veatch, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Kansas's mix of large corporate headquarters, regional health systems, and agribusiness brands means senior marketing leadership openings tend to be tied to long-established employers rather than startup activity.
Which Kansas cities have the most senior director of marketing jobs?
The Kansas cities with the most senior director of marketing openings are Overland Park, Wichita, and Olathe. Overland Park and the broader Kansas City metro drive the bulk of the volume because of the high concentration of corporate headquarters, financial services firms, and regional healthcare networks based there, while Wichita contributes openings tied to its aviation manufacturing base and growing healthcare sector.
Are there remote senior director of marketing jobs in Kansas?
Yes, and more than most fields, because senior director of marketing work is primarily strategic, analytical, and communication-driven rather than requiring a physical presence. About 51% of senior director of marketing openings tied to Kansas are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting how broadly companies have accepted distributed marketing leadership. Brand strategy, content leadership, and demand generation director roles tend to be the most remote-eligible.
How can I get hired as a senior director of marketing in Kansas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving into a manager or senior manager role at a large Kansas employer and building upward from there. Companies such as major Wichita healthcare systems, Overland Park-based financial firms, and agribusiness brands in the Kansas City corridor regularly promote from within, and lateral moves from roles like marketing manager, brand manager, or digital strategist are the most common on-ramp. Building a portfolio with clear attribution to revenue or pipeline results, and earning credentials such as a Google or HubSpot certification, sharpens a candidate's case for the first director-level step.
Where can I find and apply to senior director of marketing jobs in Kansas?
You can find and apply to senior director of marketing jobs in Kansas on Migrate Mate, which lists current Kansas openings.
