The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, and improving manufacturing processes, equipment, and product designs to support safe, efficient, and cost‑effective operations. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement manufacturing processes and work instructions.
- Design, modify, and qualify production equipment and tooling.
- Provide hands‑on technical support to the shop floor.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve process and material issues.
- Lead continuous improvement projects using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
- Support product quality initiatives and root‑cause analysis.
- Ensure equipment reliability through preventive maintenance and upgrades.
- Optimize process parameters for cost reduction and efficiency gains.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including process specs and SOPs.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (R&D, QA, Supply Chain) to align engineering solutions.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or related engineering field.
- 0–2 years of manufacturing, engineering, or related experience; relevant internship or co-op experience may be considered.
- Working knowledge of engineering principles with the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to work effectively across manufacturing and technical teams.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and CAD tools such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
- Ability to identify problems, analyze data, and support root-cause analysis and continuous improvement activities.
- Ability to work safely and effectively in a manufacturing environment and follow established safety, quality, and compliance requirements.
