Target veterinary hospitals with multiple locations, university animal research programs, and established practices that have sponsored international workers previously.
Which visa types are most common for animal care & pet services roles in Arizona?
H-1B visas are most common for veterinarians, veterinary specialists, and animal research scientists requiring specialized knowledge. O-1 visas may apply to internationally recognized veterinary experts or researchers. Some positions qualify for TN visas for Canadian and Mexican veterinarians. J-1 visas are used for veterinary training programs and research positions at universities.
Which cities in Arizona have the most animal care & pet services sponsorship jobs?

Tucson offers opportunities through University of Arizona's veterinary research programs and established veterinary practices. What industry considerations affect visa sponsorship for animal care jobs in Arizona?
Arizona's growing population drives increased demand for veterinary services, creating more sponsorship opportunities. University partnerships provide pathways for international veterinary graduates and researchers. Competition exists with neighboring states like California and Colorado for specialized veterinary talent.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored animal care & pet services jobs in Arizona?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
