Which companies in Arizona sponsor visas for business development directors?
Arizona-based employers with a history of H-1B sponsorship in senior business roles include Axon, GoDaddy, Carvana, Intel (Chandler), and Banner Health. Large professional services firms with Arizona offices, including Deloitte and PwC, also sponsor business development directors. Sponsorship decisions are made case by case, and a company's past filings are not a guarantee of future sponsorship.
What visa types are most commonly used for business development director roles in Arizona?
The H-1B is the most common visa for business development directors in Arizona, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree or higher in business, marketing, or a related field. L-1A visas apply when candidates are transferring from a foreign affiliate or subsidiary into a managerial or executive position. O-1A visas are an option for candidates with documented extraordinary achievement in their field.
Which Arizona cities have the most business development director visa sponsorship jobs?
Phoenix accounts for the largest share of business development director sponsorship activity in Arizona, driven by its concentration of corporate headquarters and regional offices. Scottsdale hosts a strong cluster of technology, financial services, and healthcare companies that hire at the director level. Tempe and Chandler also see meaningful activity, particularly from semiconductor and software companies with established international hiring programs.
How to find business development director visa sponsorship jobs in Arizona?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international candidates and filters job listings by visa sponsorship, role, and state, making it straightforward to browse business development director openings in Arizona without sorting through roles that don't offer sponsorship. You can search directly for Arizona-based positions and review which employers are actively hiring at the director level for sponsored candidates.
Are there any Arizona-specific considerations for business development directors seeking visa sponsorship?
Arizona's prevailing wage requirements under the H-1B program are tied to the Phoenix-Mesa-Scottsdale metropolitan statistical area, which sets the benchmark your employer must meet for your work location. The state's growth in semiconductor manufacturing, following investment driven by the CHIPS Act, has expanded director-level hiring at companies like TSMC and Intel in the Chandler and Phoenix areas, creating additional sponsorship opportunities in commercially oriented roles.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored business development director jobs in Arizona?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
