Banner Health was named to Fortune’s Most Innovative Companies in America 2025 list for the third consecutive year and named to Newsweek's list of Most Trustworthy Companies in America for the second year in a row. We’re proud to be recognized for our commitment to the latest health care advancements and excellent patient care.
Banner Health's Data Platform Team is building the modern data platform that runs on Databricks and AWS, supporting everything from claims and clinical data to population health analytics and AI-enabled by data. We're looking for a Data Architect to lead Databricks solution architecture end to end — designing PHI-compliant data patterns, defining the architectural standards for how data moves from Bronze through Gold and how entity resolution and claims data get handled, and partnering with enterprise and cloud architecture teams to make sure what we build fits inside Banner's broader security posture. You'll be the person in the room when a new data pattern needs a PHI-safe design, and the person who can explain why it's built that way to both a cloud architect and a compliance reviewer. You define the patterns and standards — engineering teams build against them.
This isn't a design-and-hand-off role. You'll work directly with analytics leaders to translate platform capabilities into terms they can act on, and you'll work directly with data engineers on coding standards, CI/CD practices, and Gold-layer development patterns — teaching the practices, not just documenting them. If you can move between an architecture review with enterprise architects and a working session teaching an analytics team how to build a compliant Gold pipeline, and you understand both the technical and healthcare-data complexity underneath each, this is the role. This is a remote position. In this role you would work Monday through Friday normal business hours 8am - 5pm AZ time zone and can be a remote position if you live in the following states only: AL, AK, AR, AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, IA, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA, MD, MI, MN, MO, MS, NC, ND, NE, NH, NM, NV, NY, OH, OK, OR, PA, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, WA, WI, WV & WY.
Your pay and benefits (Total Rewards) are important components of your Journey at Banner Health. Banner Health offers a variety of benefit plans to help you and your family. We provide health and financial security options, so you can focus on being the best at what you do and enjoying your life.
Within Banner Health Corporate, you will have the opportunity to apply your unique experience and expertise in support of a nationally-recognized healthcare leader. We offer stimulating and rewarding careers in a wide array of disciplines. Whether your background is in Human Resources, Finance, Information Technology, Legal, Managed Care Programs or Public Relations, you'll find many options for contributing to our award-winning patient care.

Which companies sponsor visas for cloud data engineers in Arizona?
Technology and financial services employers are among the most active sponsors for cloud data engineer roles in Arizona. Companies such as Intel, American Express, Infosys, Cognizant, and Banner Health have filed Labor Condition Applications for cloud and data engineering positions in the state. Consulting firms with Phoenix-area delivery centers also sponsor H-1B visa workers in this role category regularly.
Which visa types are most common for cloud data engineer roles in Arizona?
The H-1B is the most common visa for cloud data engineers in Arizona, as the role consistently qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field. L-1B visas apply when engineers transfer from a foreign parent or subsidiary. Australians may also be eligible for the E-3 visa, which has no lottery and allows direct consular processing.
Which cities in Arizona have the most cloud data engineer sponsorship jobs?
Phoenix accounts for the large majority of cloud data engineer sponsorship activity in Arizona, driven by its concentration of enterprise technology, financial services, and healthcare employers. Scottsdale and Tempe also have notable hiring activity, particularly from fintech firms and technology consultancies. Chandler hosts Intel's largest U.S. campus, making it a meaningful secondary market for data infrastructure roles.
How to find cloud data engineer visa sponsorship jobs in Arizona?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, so you can browse cloud data engineer roles in Arizona without manually screening each posting. The platform surfaces positions from employers with documented sponsorship history in this role category. Filtering by Arizona and the cloud data engineer job title on Migrate Mate gives you a focused list of relevant openings without the noise of unsponsored listings.
Are there any Arizona-specific factors cloud data engineers should know about visa sponsorship?
Arizona's prevailing wage requirements for H-1B cloud data engineer positions are calculated using Bureau of Labor Statistics data for the Phoenix-Mesa-Scottsdale metropolitan area, which sets the wage floor employers must meet or exceed in their Labor Condition Application. Arizona State University and the University of Arizona also feed engineering talent into local employers, meaning some companies have structured pipelines from OPT to sponsored status for graduates in data and cloud engineering disciplines.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored cloud data engineer jobs in Arizona?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
