Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated and hands-on Electrical Field Engineer to support electrical and instrumentation-related field operations for water treatment and industrial construction projects. This role will assist with site coordination, equipment installation, electrical system review, troubleshooting, documentation, and construction execution. The ideal candidate is willing to work in the field, learn site operations, and gradually participate in electrical planning, control logic, and technical coordination as they gain experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and understand relevant E&I construction drawings and engineering documents.
- Verify on-site equipment, instrumentation, and electrical installation against drawings and project requirements.
- Independently follow up on construction progress and Punch List items within the assigned work scope.
- Identify basic construction, quality, or installation issues and track corrective actions.
- Coordinate routine site activities with subcontractors, vendors, and parallel contractors.
- Independently prepare and manage E&I engineering documents, daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
- Participate in Daily, Weekly, and Monthly Progress Meetings and follow up on action items.
- Conduct pre-construction risk assessments, JSA, and Toolbox Talks.
- Independently raise PRs and handle routine procurement requirements for E&I materials and equipment.
- Assist with on-site equipment testing and basic troubleshooting.
Requirements
- 1–3 years of relevant experience; internship, co-op, academic project, or related hands-on experience may also be considered.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Instrumentation and Control Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related technical field.
- Experience or strong interest in construction sites, industrial facilities, semiconductor facilities, water treatment systems, wastewater systems, equipment installation, or field engineering work is preferred.
- Internship, co-op, or hands-on experience in construction, commissioning, facility maintenance, electrical installation, instrumentation, mechanical systems, or industrial projects is a plus.
- Ability to read or willingness to learn electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, equipment layouts, P&IDs, and related technical documents.
- Comfortable working in a fully on-site field environment, including field walks, installation follow-up, safety coordination, documentation, and project execution.
- Strong safety awareness, attention to detail, communication skills, teamwork, and willingness to learn.
