Which accounting companies sponsor F-1 STEM OPT visas in Arizona?
In Arizona, the Big Four firms, Deloitte, PwC, EY, and KPMG, have offices in Phoenix and Scottsdale with established F-1 STEM OPT sponsorship track records. Regional employers such as Banner Health, Intel, and Freeport-McMoRan also file Labor Condition Applications for accounting and financial analysis roles. Checking DOL LCA disclosure data by employer and occupation code gives the most accurate picture of who is actively sponsoring.
Which cities in Arizona have the most accounting F-1 STEM OPT sponsorship jobs?
Phoenix accounts for the large majority of accounting F-1 STEM OPT sponsorship activity in Arizona, driven by its concentration of financial services firms, corporate headquarters, and public accounting offices. Scottsdale follows closely, with a strong presence of wealth management and advisory firms. Tempe, home to several fintech companies and Arizona State University's business corridor, is also an emerging area for quantitative accounting roles.
What types of accounting roles typically qualify for F-1 STEM OPT sponsorship?
Roles that qualify must tie directly to a STEM-designated degree program such as accounting data analytics, financial engineering, or management information systems. Positions like financial analyst, data analyst, quantitative analyst, and forensic accountant often qualify when the job description emphasizes statistical modeling, data systems, or algorithmic analysis. Traditional bookkeeping or tax preparation roles generally do not qualify unless the employer's posting is tied to a recognized STEM CIP code through the student's DSO-verified program.
How do I find accounting F-1 STEM OPT sponsorship jobs in Arizona?
Migrate Mate filters job listings by visa type, state, and industry, making it straightforward to surface accounting roles in Arizona where employers have a documented history of F-1 STEM OPT sponsorship. Because Migrate Mate pulls from DOL LCA filing data, you can see which specific Arizona employers have sponsored comparable accounting and financial analysis positions, so you can prioritize applications toward companies already familiar with the process.
Are there any state-specific or industry-specific considerations for F-1 STEM OPT sponsorship in Arizona?
Arizona does not impose additional state-level work authorization requirements beyond federal F-1 STEM OPT rules, but employers in the state must be enrolled in E-Verify as a condition of STEM OPT sponsorship, which is also an Arizona state law requirement for all employers. The state's significant mining, real estate, and healthcare sectors create niche demand for cost accounting and financial analysis roles that can qualify under STEM OPT if the degree program is appropriately coded, worth confirming with your DSO before applying.
