Which companies sponsor visas for OTs in Arizona?
Banner Health, Dignity Health, Valleywise Health, and Encompass Health are among the larger Arizona employers with documented H-1B visa sponsorship activity for occupational therapists. Pediatric therapy networks like Southwest Autism Research and Resource Center and outpatient rehabilitation groups also sponsor OT roles. Federally qualified health centers and Indian Health Service facilities can sponsor OTs through additional visa pathways not available to private employers.
Which visa types are most common for OT roles in Arizona?
The H-1B is the most common visa for occupational therapists in Arizona, as OT meets the specialty occupation standard given its required master's degree. The EB-3 employment-based green card is a frequent permanent pathway. Some employers, particularly Indian Health Service facilities and nonprofits, can sponsor OTs under cap-exempt H-1B petitions, bypassing the annual lottery entirely.
Which cities in Arizona have the most OT sponsorship jobs?
Phoenix and its surrounding metro areas, including Scottsdale, Mesa, Tempe, and Chandler, account for the majority of OT sponsorship openings in Arizona given the concentration of hospital systems and outpatient clinics. Tucson is a secondary hub, supported by Banner University Medical Center and the University of Arizona Health Network. Flagstaff and rural northern Arizona also have openings, particularly within tribal health systems.
How to find ot visa sponsorship jobs in Arizona?
Migrate Mate filters occupational therapist jobs in Arizona specifically by visa sponsorship status, so you're not sorting through listings that won't support international candidates. The platform surfaces openings from hospital systems, outpatient clinics, and specialty therapy practices across Phoenix, Tucson, and rural areas. Searching by state and role type on Migrate Mate saves significant time compared to manually screening general job boards.
Are there any state-specific considerations for OTs seeking sponsorship in Arizona?
Arizona requires OTs to hold a state license from the Arizona Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners before starting work, so initiating that process in parallel with any visa petition is important. Arizona's large elderly population and growing pediatric market sustain steady OT demand. The presence of Native American tribal lands across the state creates unique federal employment opportunities, as tribal and IHS employers often have greater flexibility in sponsoring healthcare workers.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored ot jobs in Arizona?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
