Which companies sponsor visas for occupational therapists in Colorado?
UCHealth, SCL Health (now Intermountain Health), Children's Hospital Colorado, and Centura Health are among the most active sponsors for occupational therapists in Colorado. Outpatient therapy networks, school districts, and home health agencies also sponsor OTs, though sponsorship frequency varies by organization size and current staffing needs. Larger hospital systems tend to have established immigration processes and dedicated HR support for sponsored hires.
Which visa types are most common for OT roles in Colorado?
The H-1B visa is the most common visa for occupational therapists in Colorado, as OT qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a master's degree. The EB-3 immigrant visa is also a well-established pathway, particularly for employers willing to sponsor permanent residency. Some internationally trained OTs enter on a TN visa if they are Canadian or Mexican nationals, provided they hold a qualifying degree and meet Colorado licensure requirements.
Which cities in Colorado have the most OT sponsorship jobs?
Denver and its surrounding metro area account for the largest share of OT sponsorship opportunities in Colorado, driven by its concentration of hospital systems, rehabilitation centers, and pediatric clinics. Colorado Springs has a growing healthcare sector with sponsoring employers including UCHealth Memorial and Centura Health facilities. Boulder and Fort Collins also have active OT hiring, particularly in outpatient and university-affiliated settings.
How to find ot visa sponsorship jobs in Colorado?
Migrate Mate is the most direct way to find OT visa sponsorship jobs in Colorado, with listings filtered specifically for employers willing to sponsor work visas. Rather than sorting through generic job boards where sponsorship willingness is unclear, Migrate Mate focuses exclusively on internationally mobile candidates. You can filter by state and role to surface Colorado-specific OT openings from verified sponsoring employers.
Are there any state-specific considerations for OT sponsorship in Colorado?
Colorado requires occupational therapists to hold a state license from the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies before practicing, which international candidates must obtain before or shortly after starting work. Employers in rural and frontier counties, particularly in the San Luis Valley and eastern plains, sometimes offer relocation support or enhanced sponsorship packages to attract qualified OTs. Colorado's growing senior population is also expanding demand in skilled nursing and home health settings.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored ot jobs in Colorado?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
