Which companies in Arizona sponsor visas for program managers?
Intel's Chandler campus, Honeywell's Phoenix aerospace division, Amazon's expanding Arizona operations, and Banner Health are among the employers with documented H-1B sponsorship histories for program manager roles. TSMC, which is building a major fab in Phoenix, has also emerged as a sponsoring employer. Sponsorship practices vary by role, team, and hiring cycle, so confirming directly with each employer's recruiting team is worthwhile.
What visa types are most common for program managers in Arizona?
The H-1B is the most common visa for program managers in Arizona, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree in a related field such as engineering, business, or information systems. Candidates already holding L-1B or TN visa status sometimes transfer to H-1B for long-term employment. O-1 visa is an option for program managers with demonstrated exceptional achievement, though it's far less frequently pursued for this role.
Which Arizona cities have the most program manager sponsorship jobs?
Greater Phoenix, including Chandler, Tempe, and Scottsdale, accounts for the large majority of program manager sponsorship opportunities in Arizona, driven by semiconductor, aerospace, and technology employers concentrated in the metro area. Tucson has a smaller but active market, supported by Raytheon Technologies and the University of Arizona's research operations. Mesa and Gilbert have also seen growth tied to Intel's ongoing facility expansions.
How to find program manager visa sponsorship jobs in Arizona?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international candidates seeking visa sponsorship and filters program manager openings in Arizona by employers with sponsorship history. Rather than sorting through general job postings with no sponsorship information, Migrate Mate surfaces roles where employers have sponsored H-1B or other work visas before. Searching by Arizona and filtering for program manager titles gives you a targeted list of active opportunities relevant to your situation.
Are there any state-specific considerations for program managers seeking sponsorship in Arizona?
Arizona's concentration in semiconductor manufacturing, defense contracting, and healthcare means program manager roles often require domain-specific backgrounds, and employers in defense may require candidates to be eligible for security clearances, which can complicate sponsorship timelines for non-citizens. Arizona State University and the University of Arizona produce graduates who feed into local tech and engineering pipelines, making early employer engagement during OPT a common pathway to sponsored employment.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored program manager jobs in Arizona?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
