Which companies in Kentucky sponsor visas for program managers?
Toyota Motor Manufacturing Kentucky in Georgetown, Lexmark International in Lexington, and Humana in Louisville are among the more consistent sponsors for program manager roles. Large healthcare systems including Norton Healthcare and Baptist Health also sponsor, particularly for technology and operations program managers. Government contractors operating near Fort Knox occasionally post sponsored program manager positions as well.
Which visa types are most common for program managers in Kentucky?
The H-1B visa is the most common visa for program managers in Kentucky, since the role typically requires a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as engineering, business, or information systems, meeting the specialty occupation standard. Multinational companies like Toyota may also use the L-1A for managers transferring from foreign offices. Canadian and Mexican citizens qualified as program managers may be eligible for TN visa status under the management consultant or engineer categories.
Which cities in Kentucky have the most program manager sponsorship jobs?
Louisville is Kentucky's largest market for sponsored program manager roles, driven by Humana, UPS, and a cluster of healthcare and logistics employers. Lexington is the second-largest market, anchored by Lexmark, University of Kentucky healthcare operations, and manufacturing firms. Georgetown sees demand specifically tied to Toyota's large manufacturing campus. Northern Kentucky, near the Cincinnati metro, occasionally produces sponsorship opportunities through shared regional employers.
How to find program manager visa sponsorship jobs in Kentucky?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship eligibility, making it straightforward to find program manager roles in Kentucky without sifting through postings that don't offer sponsorship. You can filter by state and role type to surface relevant openings across Louisville, Lexington, and other Kentucky markets. This saves significant time compared to reviewing general job boards where sponsorship availability is rarely stated upfront.
Are there any Kentucky-specific factors that affect program manager visa sponsorship?
Kentucky's sponsorship activity for program managers is concentrated in a handful of industries, so applicants benefit from targeting sectors with demonstrated sponsorship history, namely automotive manufacturing, healthcare operations, and logistics technology. The University of Kentucky and University of Louisville both produce graduate talent pipelines that some employers actively recruit through, which can signal which organizations are more experienced with international hires and the sponsorship process.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored program manager jobs in Kentucky?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
