Which companies in Idaho sponsor visas for program managers?
Micron Technology is Idaho's most prominent H-1B sponsor for program managers, given its large semiconductor operations in Boise. HP Inc. and Clearwater Analytics have also filed LCAs for program management roles in the state. State government contractors and healthcare systems like St. Luke's Health System occasionally sponsor as well, though at lower volumes than tech employers.
Which visa types are most common for program manager roles in Idaho?
The H-1B is the most common visa for program managers in Idaho, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree in a related field such as engineering, computer science, or business. Candidates from Canada or Mexico may also qualify under the TN visa. Managers with multinational company experience may explore the L-1A as an intracompany transferee option.
Which cities in Idaho have the most program manager sponsorship jobs?
Boise accounts for the large majority of program manager visa sponsorship activity in Idaho. Micron's semiconductor campus, along with a cluster of technology and financial software companies, drives most of that hiring. Meridian and Nampa, as Boise's growing suburbs, host some employer operations as well. Outside the Treasure Valley, sponsorship opportunities for program managers are limited.
How to find program manager visa sponsorship jobs in Idaho?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to search for program manager roles in Idaho without sifting through positions that don't offer sponsorship. The platform is built for international candidates, so listings are sourced with sponsorship intent in mind. Filtering by Idaho and program manager on Migrate Mate is the most direct way to see what's currently open.
What should program managers know about Idaho's sponsorship market before applying?
Idaho's sponsorship activity is heavily concentrated in Boise's tech and semiconductor sectors, so program managers with backgrounds in hardware, software, or financial technology are best positioned. The state does not have a large consulting or professional services presence, which limits sponsorship opportunities outside of direct employer hires. Prevailing wage levels in Boise are generally lower than in coastal tech hubs, which can affect LCA-certified wage requirements for sponsored roles.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored program manager jobs in Idaho?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
