Which companies sponsor visas for program managers in Indiana?
Eli Lilly and Salesforce in Indianapolis, Cummins and Zimmer Biomet in Fort Wayne, and Rolls-Royce North America in Indianapolis have sponsored program managers for H-1B visas in recent years according to Department of Labor disclosure data. Large life sciences and advanced manufacturing employers tend to have established HR processes for sponsorship, making them more predictable targets for international applicants than smaller firms.
Which visa types are most common for program manager roles in Indiana?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for program managers in Indiana, as the role typically requires a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as engineering, computer science, or business. Some candidates with Canadian or Mexican citizenship use the TN visa under the USMCA treaty. International candidates already in the U.S. on OPT or STEM OPT frequently use that period to transition into employer-sponsored H-1B status.
Which cities in Indiana have the most program manager sponsorship jobs?
Indianapolis accounts for the largest concentration of program manager sponsorship opportunities in Indiana, driven by its life sciences corridor, technology sector, and corporate headquarters. Columbus, home to Cummins' global operations, generates demand in manufacturing program management. West Lafayette sees activity tied to Purdue University's research partnerships and affiliated technology companies, which regularly hire program managers for federally funded and industry-sponsored initiatives.
How to find program manager visa sponsorship jobs in Indiana?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, so you can search program manager roles in Indiana without sifting through positions that won't support international candidates. The platform surfaces openings from employers with documented sponsorship histories in the state, which is particularly useful in Indiana where sponsoring employers are concentrated in specific industries like life sciences, manufacturing, and enterprise technology.
Are there any Indiana-specific considerations for program managers seeking visa sponsorship?
Indiana's Department of Workforce Development publishes prevailing wage data that employers must reference when filing Labor Condition Applications for H-1B program managers. Purdue University in West Lafayette and Indiana University in Bloomington create a steady pipeline of international students who transition into program management roles at in-state employers, which means some Indiana companies already have internal processes for sponsoring this role category. Program managers in regulated industries like pharmaceuticals may also face additional credentialing considerations.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored program manager jobs in Indiana?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
