The Research Program Coordinator will work closely with the faculty principal investigator, William Matchin, to support and coordinate research on language abilities in people with chronic post-stroke aphasia. This role will help oversee day-to-day operations of the lab, including mentorship and training of research personnel, including doctoral, master’s and undergraduate students, recruitment of participants, scheduling of assessments, performing assessments, analyzing data, presenting results and writing research manuscripts.
Job Related Minimum Required Education and Experience
* Requires a bachelor’s degree in a job related field and no prior work experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience.
Preferred Qualifications
* Individuals with Master’s or PhD in Communication Sciences and Disorders or related field; linguistics or neuroscience research experience, publication history, background with statistical analysis and experimental design is preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
* Excellent written and oral communications skills and to be able to work without supervision.

Data analysis, interpretation, and dissemination. Includes developing research proposals and project ideas, processing and analyzing data, preparing conference presentations, preparing manuscripts for publication, and presenting research. Research activity can either be independent, developed in collaboration with the PI and students, or can be primarily in a support role for the lab, depending on applicant’s background.
