Why does the job exist?
This position is responsible for driving the State Jobs are Great Jobs marketing campaign in addition to other media relations for the agency.
How does it get done?
- Edit and proof marketing and communication content for clarity, accuracy, and consistency;
- Produce and schedule social media, email, print, and digital campaign materials;
- Coordinate logistics, timelines, deliverables, and communication between partners, vendors, and agencies;
- Maintain clear internal visibility of campaign activities and updates;
- Gather basic performance metrics (impressions, clicks, opens, conversions) and prepare simple outcome reports;
- Draft, edit, and distribute communication materials including reports, press releases, advisories, fact sheets, and packets for leadership and stakeholders;
- Support communication strategy development, monitor trends, and recommend process or improvements; and
- Contribute to consistent messaging and increased agency brand awareness.

Minimum Qualification
Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field of study from an accredited college or university and two (2) years of professional level experience with a tactical impact directly related to the purpose of the position defined by the agency at the time of recruitment. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling six (6) years may substitute for the required education and experience.
Employment Requirements
Must possess and maintain a valid Driver License and must possess and maintain a current Defensive Driving Course Certificate from the State of New Mexico or must pass and receive Defensive Driving Course Certification within six (6) months of date of hire as a condition of continued employment.
Working Conditions
Work is usually performed in an office setting, with extensive exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT), personal computer, tablet, printer, calculator, hole-punch, cellphone, copy machine, scanner, keyboard, and telephone usage. Some travel may be required.
