The Program Manager / Specialized Behavioral Health (BH) Services will:
- Coordinate and oversee specialized services within the New Mexico crisis system of care as well as support for additional adult behavioral health services programs.
- Develop, plan, and execute a variety of projects critical to the development and improvement of the crisis system of care and the closed loop referral system for behavioral health providers.
- Track contract deliverables, maintain documentation, project management, and coordinate between providers, Behavioral Health Services Division (BHSD) and fiscal staff.
- Facilitate and coordinate communication between stakeholders to ensure access to service and quality oversight.
- Conduct outreach to build capacity through community connections.
- Work directly with behavioral health providers to support service provision.
- Manage, analyze, and evaluate complex social services to ensure quality outcomes.
- Provide technical assistance in the specified adult behavioral health program areas to include site visits.

The Program Manager / Specialized BH Services is responsible for:
- Project management of multiple initiatives, evaluating complex issues and impacting project delivery/completion.
- Facilitating communication between BHSD, crisis, and community partners.
- Monitoring project progress, flagging emerging needs or gaps, and coordinating adjustments to project plans with input from internal consultation and collaboration.
- Consulting with internal and external partners to collect service performance data, preparing summary reports, and coordinating provider follow-up to support quality monitoring processes and to support stakeholders with opportunities for improvement in their service provision.
- Sustaining and engaging in appropriate professional communication with stakeholders, peers, providers, and others in a timely fashion, to include phone calls, messages, emails, and filing of reports.
- Coordinating logistics for meetings, work-groups, and technical assistance sessions.
- Supporting consistency in communication materials, timelines, and deliverable tracking.

- Health Care Authority (HCA) and Behavioral Health Services Division (BHSD) program managers.
- Vendors contracted with BHSD.
- Crisis Providers and Agencies.
- Constituents of New Mexico receiving specialized behavioral health services.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field of study from an accredited college or university and two (2) years of professional level experience with a tactical impact directly related to the purpose of the position defined by the agency at the time of recruitment. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling six (6) years may substitute for the required education and experience.
EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
- Must obtain a Defensive driving certification.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT), extensive personal computer and phone usage. Some travel required.
