Which companies sponsor visas for project program managers in Arizona?
Intel's Chandler campus, Honeywell's aerospace division in Phoenix, Boeing, Raytheon, and major financial services firms like American Express and JPMorgan Chase have all filed LCAs for project and program manager roles in Arizona. Semiconductor manufacturers tied to CHIPS Act expansion, including TSMC's Phoenix facility, are also active sponsors as they scale operations and build out project management teams.
Which visa types are most common for project program managers in Arizona?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for project program manager roles in Arizona, as these positions typically require a bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, business, or a related field, qualifying them as specialty occupations. Candidates already holding L-1B or L-1A status through multinational employers transferring into Arizona operations represent another common pathway, particularly in aerospace and semiconductor manufacturing.
Which cities in Arizona have the most project program manager sponsorship jobs?
Phoenix and its surrounding suburbs account for the vast majority of project program manager sponsorship activity in Arizona. Chandler stands out due to Intel's large campus and the broader semiconductor corridor. Tempe hosts technology and financial services employers, Scottsdale has a concentration of corporate headquarters, and Mesa is growing as aerospace and defense contractors expand there.
How to find project program manager visa sponsorship jobs in Arizona?
Migrate Mate filters project program manager roles specifically to employers in Arizona who are actively sponsoring visas, saving you the time of screening out positions that don't support international candidates. Searching Migrate Mate for Arizona project program manager openings surfaces roles from tech manufacturing, defense, and financial services employers in the Phoenix metro where sponsorship activity is highest.
Are there any Arizona-specific considerations for project program managers seeking visa sponsorship?
Arizona's CHIPS Act investments have brought significant federal attention to Maricopa County as a semiconductor hub, which is increasing demand for project program managers with manufacturing or engineering program backgrounds. Employers in this corridor must meet Department of Labor prevailing wage requirements when sponsoring H-1B workers, so posted roles generally reflect market-rate compensation tied to the Phoenix metro prevailing wage determinations.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored project program manager jobs in Arizona?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
