Which companies sponsor visas for care assistants in Arkansas?
Baptist Health, the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS), CHI St. Vincent, and Arkansas Children's Hospital are among the larger healthcare employers in the state with established HR infrastructure for work visa sponsorship. Larger long-term care networks and multi-facility home health agencies are generally more likely to sponsor than small independent providers, since they have the legal and administrative resources to manage the process.
Which visa types are most common for care assistant roles in Arkansas?
Care assistant positions in Arkansas most commonly involve H-1B sponsorship when the role meets specialty occupation criteria, though many direct care roles instead use the H-2B visa for temporary non-agricultural workers or EB-3 immigrant visas for permanent positions. Facilities affiliated with nonprofits or religious organizations may also qualify for special immigrant religious worker categories. The appropriate visa type depends heavily on the specific duties, required qualifications, and employer classification.
Which cities in Arkansas have the most care assistant sponsorship jobs?
Little Rock has the highest concentration of care assistant sponsorship opportunities, driven by its cluster of major hospital systems and UAMS. Fayetteville and Springdale in the northwest corner of the state have growing demand tied to population growth in the Bentonville metro. Fort Smith and Jonesboro also have active healthcare hiring markets, with regional medical centers and long-term care facilities that periodically sponsor international candidates.
How to find care assistant visa sponsorship jobs in Arkansas?
Migrate Mate is the most direct way to find care assistant roles in Arkansas where employers are open to visa sponsorship. You can filter specifically by state and job category to surface relevant openings rather than sorting through general job postings. Because sponsorship willingness is not always advertised, using a platform like Migrate Mate that focuses on international candidates saves significant time in the Arkansas healthcare job search.
Are there any state-specific considerations for care assistants seeking sponsorship in Arkansas?
Arkansas requires care assistants working in certified nursing facilities to complete state-approved Nurse Aide Training and pass a competency evaluation before working independently. International candidates should confirm their foreign credentials are accepted toward this requirement or plan time for training after arrival. UAMS and community colleges across the state offer qualifying programs. Employers sponsoring international hires typically factor this credentialing timeline into their onboarding process.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored care assistant jobs in Arkansas?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
