While relying on Operations Account Managers (OAMs) and execution teams for daily freight movement, the SAM remains fully accountable for program outcomes. This role bridges the gap between high-level account strategy and operational execution—partnering closely with LTL Procurement and mixed TL/LTL operations teams to drive cost savings, service excellence, and value delivery across the customer's network.
Core Responsibilities & Execution Pillars
1. LTL Program Management & Strategic Optimization
- Network & Strategy Alignment: Drive overarching LTL strategy across procurement and operations, acting as the subject-matter expert to align daily execution with macro account goals.
- Deep-Dive Analytics: Perform deep-dive program analyses to identify cost, service, and efficiency insights; translate raw data into actionable strategic initiatives (e.g., mode conversions, lane optimization, pooling, and drop trailer strategies).
- Continuous Improvement: Identify process gaps, evaluate broader market dynamics, and champion LTL best practices across the account team.
2. Governance, Financial Oversight & Tech Management
- Financial & Margin Management: Review margins, monitor DTO queues, and analyze accessorial trends to eliminate avoidable costs and drive profitability.
- Network Health Governance: Monitor systemic operational issues (e.g., chronic offender carriers or troubled lanes) to resolve root-cause delays and missed pickups.
- Tech Management: Direct tech escalations, manage user access requests, and oversee EDI/API integrations and UAT testing to ensure seamless platform operations.
3. Executive Customer Engagement & Value Delivery
- Value Proposition Ownership: Ensure program value propositions are consistently communicated, validated, and delivered across all customer touchpoints.
- Business Reviews (MBR/QBR): Build high-impact presentation materials and lead Monthly and Quarterly Business Reviews to showcase performance, key wins, and forward-looking strategic initiatives.
- Relationship Expansion: Strengthen executive-level relationships, engage new stakeholders, and position the company as an indispensable strategic partner.
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum 5-7+ years of experience driving LTL account strategy, mode conversions, and lane optimization within an account management or related role.
- Prior experience working with enterprise accounts or accounts with Freight Spend of 20M +.
- Experience Leading MBRs/QBRs, managing executive stakeholder relationships, and delivering customer value.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience analyzing operational and financial data to uncover cost savings and efficiency gains.
- Has managed account margins, tracking accessorials, and resolving systemic operational issues.

Which transportation companies in Arkansas sponsor Green Cards?
J.B. Hunt Transport Services, headquartered just across the border in Lowell with major Arkansas operations, and ABF Freight, based in Fort Smith, are among the most active transportation employers in the state with histories of sponsoring permanent residence for qualified workers. Larger trucking carriers, freight brokerages, and multimodal logistics firms operating out of Little Rock and the Northwest Arkansas corridor also participate in Green Card sponsorship for specialized roles.
Which cities in Arkansas have the most transportation Green Card sponsorship jobs?
Northwest Arkansas, encompassing Rogers, Fayetteville, and Springdale, is the state's most active transportation employment corridor, anchored by major carrier and logistics company headquarters. Little Rock, as the state capital and a central freight hub, also generates consistent demand for sponsored transportation roles. Fort Smith, with its long-standing trucking industry presence, rounds out the three primary markets where Green Card sponsorship opportunities appear most frequently.
What types of transportation roles typically qualify for Green Card sponsorship in Arkansas?
Roles that typically qualify involve specialized skills or professional-level responsibilities, including transportation engineers, logistics analysts, supply chain managers, fleet operations managers, and freight planning specialists. Positions requiring a bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field are generally better positioned for EB-2 or EB-3 employer-sponsored Green Card petitions. Skilled technician and operations roles may qualify under EB-3, though eligibility depends on the specific position and employer's documentation of recruitment requirements.
How do I find transportation Green Card sponsorship jobs in Arkansas?
Migrate Mate is a job board built specifically for international workers seeking visa sponsorship in the U.S., including transportation Green Card roles in Arkansas. Filtering by state and visa type surfaces employers who have indicated sponsorship willingness, saving significant research time. Beyond Migrate Mate, reviewing Department of Labor PERM labor certification filings, which are publicly available, can help identify Arkansas transportation employers with a documented history of Green Card sponsorship.
Are there any Arkansas-specific considerations for Green Card sponsorship in transportation?
Arkansas is home to one of the densest concentrations of major trucking and logistics companies in the United States, particularly in the Northwest Arkansas region, which can mean more sponsorship opportunities than in comparable-sized states. However, many transportation roles in Arkansas are operationally focused and may not meet the specialty occupation or minimum education thresholds required for EB-2 or EB-3 sponsorship. Candidates with engineering, analytics, or management credentials generally have stronger positioning with Arkansas transportation employers pursuing PERM-based Green Card cases.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card transportation jobs in Arkansas?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
