JOB SUMMARY
This Engineering Co-Op position supports the Ft. Smith, Arkansas Engineering site in achieving engineering objectives while providing the Co-Op student with hands-on experience in motor design, documentation, and manufacturing support. This role offers exposure to cross-functional collaboration, process improvement, and industry-standard engineering practices, providing a meaningful learning experience while contributing to real engineering projects.
Responsibilities:
- Creating and modifying drawings
- Coordinate with engineers and manufacturing to ensure that all customer requirements are met
- Review industry standards for requirements and compliance
- Create and modify BOM’s and other documentation to support customer and manufacturing requirements
- Collaborate with all functions of the business in driving quality and process improvement initiatives
- Will work closely with leaders on expediting documentation changes
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION:
- Associate degree in an applied science or engineering field desired or at least 60 hours of technical education
- Enrolled in an Engineering Program
PREFERRED QUALIFICATION:
- 5+ years of electric motor manufacturing experience
- Possesses strong problem-solving skills with experience in IHP motor design and process desired
- Demonstrate exceptional written and oral communication skills
