Which companies sponsor visas for assistant account managers in California?

Firms like Salesforce, Oracle, Adobe, and Google have established international hiring programs and a history of sponsoring work visas for commercial and client services positions. Advertising agencies and media companies in Los Angeles, such as those serving entertainment and consumer brands, also sponsor for these roles with some regularity.
Which visa types are most common for assistant account manager roles in California?
The H-1B is the most common visa for assistant account manager roles in California, provided the position qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at minimum a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as business, marketing, or communications. Some candidates with prior experience in qualifying countries may be eligible for the TN visa (Canadians and Mexicans) or the E-3 visa (Australians). L-1 transfers are also used when candidates are relocating from a company's international office.
Which cities in California have the most assistant account manager sponsorship jobs?
San Francisco and the broader Bay Area lead for assistant account manager sponsorship jobs in California, reflecting the concentration of enterprise technology companies there. Los Angeles is a strong secondary market, particularly in advertising, entertainment, and consumer brand sectors. How to find assistant account manager visa sponsorship jobs in California?
Migrate Mate is a dedicated job board for international candidates seeking visa sponsorship in the U.S., with filters specifically for roles and states. For assistant account manager positions in California, you can search by role and location to surface employers with a sponsorship track record. Migrate Mate focuses exclusively on sponsorship-eligible listings, which saves significant time compared to filtering through general job boards manually.
Are there any California-specific considerations for assistant account manager sponsorship candidates?
California's high cost of living means prevailing wage determinations for assistant account manager roles tend to be set at levels reflecting Bay Area and Los Angeles market rates, which can affect what employers are required to pay sponsored workers. California also has strict worker classification and employment law requirements that employers must navigate. Candidates from top business programs at UC Berkeley, UCLA, and USC are well positioned, as many California sponsors actively recruit from these pipelines.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored assistant account manager jobs in California?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
