Passionate, driven people dedicated to making a difference in healthcare.
Are you looking for an opportunity to get into the growing health care field? Look no further, we will train you! SpecialtyCare provides a comprehensive in-house training program that will help you gain valuable skills and a career in health care. SpecialtyCare autotransfusion technicians play a vital role in the health and well-being of our patients. Autotransfusion, also called cell salvage, is the process of collecting shed blood, separating the red cells from the plasma, washing the red cells, and re-administering them to the patient.
As a Clinical Technician in Autotransfusion with SpecialtyCare, you will be trained to run the equipment that purifies the patient’s blood and then returns the blood to the patient. Recycling the patient’s own blood, instead of transfusing donor blood, has been shown to reduce recovery time and prevents the adverse effects that can occur with donor blood. We also provide cell-based therapies, such as platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and bone marrow aspirate concentrate.

Which companies sponsor visas for clinical technicians in California?
Large health systems are the most active sponsors for clinical technicians in California. Kaiser Permanente, UCSF Medical Center, Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Stanford Health Care, and UCLA Health have histories of filing H-1B and other work visa petitions for clinical roles. Academic medical centers and hospital networks typically have dedicated HR and immigration support, making them more equipped to manage sponsorship than smaller independent clinics.
Which visa types are most common for clinical technician roles in California?
The H-1B is the most common visa for clinical technician roles that require a bachelor's degree or higher in a directly related field, such as clinical laboratory science or biomedical engineering. Some roles may qualify under the TN visa for Canadian and Mexican nationals if the position fits an eligible USMCA occupation category. J-1 visas are also used for clinical training and exchange programs affiliated with California academic medical centers.
Which cities in California have the most clinical technician sponsorship jobs?
The San Francisco Bay Area, Los Angeles, and San Diego account for the largest share of clinical technician sponsorship opportunities in California. The Bay Area benefits from proximity to UCSF, Stanford, and a dense cluster of biotech and medical device companies. Los Angeles is home to Cedars-Sinai, UCLA Health, and USC Keck Medicine. San Diego has a strong life sciences corridor with institutions like UC San Diego Health and Scripps Research.
How to find clinical technician visa sponsorship jobs in California?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically for roles where employers have a verified history of visa sponsorship, making it easier to identify clinical technician positions in California without manually screening each posting. You can filter by state and role to surface relevant openings at California health systems, research hospitals, and biotech employers. This is particularly useful for clinical technicians on OPT or seeking H-1B sponsorship who need to act within a tight timeline.
Are there any California-specific factors clinical technicians should know about visa sponsorship?
California's prevailing wage requirements under Department of Labor rules mean employers must pay H-1B workers the higher of the actual or prevailing wage for the role and location, and wages in San Francisco and Los Angeles metro areas are among the highest in the country for clinical roles. California also has a large pipeline of internationally trained clinical professionals from UC system programs, which means competition for sponsored roles at top academic medical centers can be significant.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored clinical technician jobs in California?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
