Job Title: Oracle Finance Lead Functional Analyst
Location: Fremont, CA / Menlo Park, CA Hybrid - 3 WFO (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday), but at the discretion of Customer
About the role
Customer's Enterprise Products (EP) supply chain landscape runs on Oracle Fusion Finance alongside a significant set of Custom-built internal applications and third-party systems that integrate with it.
Our offshore QA team in India and Singapore test this landscape today. We are hiring a US-based Lead Functional Analyst to serve as their onsite counterpart — the bridge between Customer Application Managers, Customer QA Lead, and our offshore team.
You will translate business requirements into clear functional intent, guide the offshore team, and confirm that the scenarios they build genuinely satisfy what the business asked for — across both Oracle Fusion and the internal applications connected to it.
What we're looking for
- 8+ years in Oracle Fusion Finance with strong functional depth across most of: Receivables, Revenue, General Accounting, Asset Accounting, Commercial Tax, Payable and Payment, Procurement, Subscription, RL Customer MDM Integration, General Ledger, Intercompany
- Demonstrated experience with heavily integrated Oracle Fusion landscapes — validating end-to-end flows spanning custom/in-house applications, third-party systems, and Fusion.
- Proven experience defining and reviewing functional validation scenarios for Oracle Fusion and non-Oracle applications.
- Comfort ramping quickly on proprietary, internally built applications with limited external documentation, and reasoning about integration behavior from data flows and business process rather than vendor manuals.
- Monitor Oracle Fusion quarterly release testing and patch validation activities to assess the impact of Oracle updates on existing business processes and integrations.
- Analyze Oracle release notes, identify affected business areas, and develop risk-based regression testing strategies.
- Validate Oracle Fusion integrations, interfaces, reports, workflows, and customizations following Oracle patches and quarterly updates.
- Track record operating as an onsite liaison in an onsite–offshore delivery model.
- Excellent communication skills; able to explain complex supply chain processes to business and technical audiences, and to challenge stakeholders constructively.
- Must be based in California, US and able to work onsite. 3 days per week from Customer location.
Mandatory Skills: Oracle Cloud Testing.
Experience: 5-8 Years.
The expected compensation for this role ranges from $60,000 to $148,500.
Final compensation will depend on various factors, including your geographical location, minimum wage obligations, skills, and relevant experience. Based on the position, the role is also eligible for Wipro's standard benefits including a full range of medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), other paid and unpaid leave options.
Applicants are advised that employment in some roles may be conditioned on successful completion of a post-offer drug screening, subject to applicable state law.

Which companies sponsor visas for finance analysts in California?
Large financial institutions and technology companies with significant California operations are among the most active sponsors for finance analyst roles. These include Wells Fargo, Bank of America, and JPMorgan Chase in traditional banking, alongside technology firms like Apple, Google, and Meta that maintain substantial in-house finance teams. Asset managers and fintech companies headquartered in San Francisco also sponsor regularly, though sponsorship availability varies by role and hiring cycle.
Which visa types are most common for finance analyst roles in California?
The H-1B visa is the most common visa for finance analyst positions in California, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related field. Candidates already in the U.S. on OPT or STEM OPT frequently transition into H-1B sponsorship. The O-1A is an option for analysts with exceptional industry recognition, though it requires substantially stronger documentation than the H-1B.
Which cities in California have the most finance analyst sponsorship jobs?
San Francisco and its surrounding Bay Area cities account for the largest share of finance analyst sponsorship positions in California, driven by the concentration of technology companies with large finance functions and a strong fintech sector. Los Angeles is the second major hub, particularly in entertainment finance, private equity, and investment banking. San Jose sees demand from semiconductor and technology firms, while San Diego has a smaller but growing finance analyst market tied to biotech and defense industries.
How to find finance analyst visa sponsorship jobs in California?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international candidates seeking visa sponsorship and lets you filter finance analyst roles by state, so you can browse California-specific openings from employers that have sponsored before. Because sponsorship willingness varies widely by company and role, filtering by verified sponsoring employers saves significant time compared to applying broadly. Creating a profile on Migrate Mate also helps you track openings as new California finance analyst positions are added.
Are there state-specific considerations for finance analyst visa sponsorship in California?
California employers sponsoring H-1B finance analyst roles must comply with Department of Labor prevailing wage requirements, which are calculated at the metropolitan-area level. Bay Area and Los Angeles prevailing wages for finance analysts tend to be higher than national averages, reflecting regional cost of labor. California's large public university system, particularly UC Berkeley and UCLA, produces a significant pipeline of international finance graduates who pursue OPT and then employer-sponsored visas, meaning competition for available sponsorship slots at established firms can be high.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored finance analyst jobs in California?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
