INTRODUCTION
We’re seeking an energetic Business Development Manager to join our growing team and help drive market expansion. This is a hunter-oriented role focused on developing pipeline, generating new opportunities, and engaging with mid-market and enterprise prospects. You’ll work closely with leadership but operate with autonomy — this hire is for someone who proactively finds and closes opportunities rather than waiting for direction. This role is ideal for candidates with experience selling services/solutions (consulting, technical services, technology partnerships) rather than strictly product sales, and who thrive in an active, travel-friendly environment.
Responsibilities:
- Source and qualify new business opportunities in North America.
- Build and manage a client pipeline across multiple verticals.
- Proactively reach out to prospects via outbound (email, calls, social).
- Coordinate discovery & qualification conversations.
- Partner with Sales leadership to close deals.
- Attend industry events, conferences, and client meetings (travel expected 30% of the time).
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:
- 5+ years of sales or BDM experience in consulting/services-led environments.
- Proven ability to prospect, engage, and qualify leads independently.
- Experience with selling technology services and managing negotiations with clients.
- Highly motivated, results-driven, and coachable.
- Comfortable working without detailed day-to-day supervision.
- Willing to travel for client meetings and events.

WHY JOIN US:

- Strong earning potential with performance-based bonuses.
- Opportunity to work with cutting-edge AI and cloud solutions.
- B2B contract model or full-time model.
- OTE range $170-180k. The salary range is determined through interviews and a review of the education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant, and alignment with market data.
- Unlimited Vacation policy.
- Generous health, vision, and dental insurance.
- 401(K) matching plan.

Search Partnership Development Manager Jobs in ConnecticutPartnership Development Manager Jobs in Connecticut: Frequently Asked Questions
Which companies sponsor visas for partnership development managers in Connecticut?
Hartford-based insurers and financial services firms, including Cigna, The Hartford, and Aetna, have sponsorship track records for business development roles. Stamford's corporate cluster, home to companies like Synchrony and Charter Communications, also hires for partnership-focused positions. Life sciences firms in New Haven tied to the Yale ecosystem occasionally sponsor partnership development managers with relevant industry backgrounds.
Which visa types are most common for partnership development manager roles in Connecticut?
The H-1B visa is the most common visa for partnership development managers in Connecticut, provided the role requires at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field such as business, marketing, or communications. Some candidates with Canadian or Mexican citizenship qualify for TN visas under the NAFTA/USMCA professional categories. Australians may be eligible for the E-3 visa, which has no lottery and is processed faster than the H-1B visa.
Which cities in Connecticut have the most partnership development manager sponsorship jobs?
Stamford leads for corporate sponsorship activity, given its density of Fortune 500 offices and proximity to the New York metro market. Hartford follows closely, driven by the insurance and financial services industry that dominates the city. New Haven offers opportunities within life sciences, healthtech, and university-adjacent organizations. Smaller markets like Bridgeport and Greenwich occasionally list partnership roles at financial and professional services firms.
How to find partnership development manager visa sponsorship jobs in Connecticut?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, so you can search for partnership development manager roles in Connecticut without manually screening each posting. The platform surfaces employers in Hartford, Stamford, and New Haven who have active sponsorship programs for business development professionals. Searching by state and role on Migrate Mate saves significant time compared to general job browsing.
Are there state-specific or role-specific considerations for partnership development managers seeking sponsorship in Connecticut?
Connecticut's prevailing wage requirements under the H-1B program are benchmarked to the Hartford and Stamford metropolitan areas separately, so compensation offers can differ significantly across the state. The financial services and insurance industries that dominate Connecticut hiring tend to have established immigration compliance programs, which can make the sponsorship process more straightforward than at smaller employers. A degree that directly aligns with the partnership or business development function strengthens specialty occupation classification for H-1B petitions.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored partnership development manager jobs in Connecticut?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
