Which companies sponsor visas for home health nurses in Delaware?
Bayada Home Health Care, Amedisys, and LHC Group have sponsored nurses in Delaware through H-1B and employment-based green card pathways. Christiana Care Health System and Bayhealth also hire home health nurses and have established international recruitment processes. Sponsorship availability varies by role and location, so confirming directly with each employer's HR or international recruitment team is always the right step.
Which visa types are most common for home health nurse roles in Delaware?
The H-1B visa is a common pathway for registered nurses in specialty or supervisory home health roles, though it requires demonstrating the position qualifies as a specialty occupation. The EB-3 immigrant visa, often paired with PERM labor certification, is frequently used for staff-level RN positions. Some internationally trained nurses also enter on TN visas if they hold Canadian or Mexican citizenship and meet the RN credential requirements.
Which cities in Delaware have the most home health nurse sponsorship jobs?
Wilmington accounts for the largest share of home health nurse openings in Delaware, given its concentration of health systems and agency offices in New Castle County. Dover, as the state capital, has steady demand tied to Bayhealth and surrounding community health providers. Newark, near the University of Delaware, also sees hiring activity, particularly from agencies serving the densely populated northern corridor of the state.
How to find home health nurse visa sponsorship jobs in Delaware?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international nurses seeking visa sponsorship jobs in the U.S., including home health nurse roles in Delaware. You can filter by state and role to see which Delaware employers are actively hiring and sponsoring. This is more targeted than general job searches because listings are curated for sponsorship eligibility, saving you from applying to roles where sponsorship is not on offer.
Are there state-specific considerations for home health nurses seeking sponsorship in Delaware?
Delaware requires home health nurses to hold an active RN license issued or endorsed by the Delaware Board of Nursing. The state participates in the Nurse Licensure Compact, so nurses licensed in other compact states can practice in Delaware without a separate license, which can shorten the credentialing timeline. Internationally educated nurses must also complete CGFNS or equivalent credential evaluation before licensure, which employers factor into their sponsorship timelines.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored home health nurse jobs in Delaware?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
