Which companies sponsor visas for procurement roles in Delaware?
DuPont, AstraZeneca, Chemours, and JPMorgan Chase have all filed H-1B petitions for procurement and supply chain roles in Delaware based on Department of Labor disclosure data. Larger corporations with established legal and HR departments are generally more prepared to navigate sponsorship for procurement positions than smaller regional suppliers or distributors.
Which visa types are most common for procurement roles in Delaware?
The H-1B is the most common visa for procurement professionals in Delaware, particularly for roles requiring a bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, or engineering. Canadian and Mexican nationals may qualify for TN status under the NAFTA/USMCA category for management consultants or engineers, depending on how the procurement role is defined and documented by the employer.
Which cities in Delaware have the most procurement sponsorship jobs?
Wilmington is Delaware's primary hub for corporate procurement, driven by its concentration of Fortune 500 headquarters and financial institutions. Newark, home to the University of Delaware, also sees procurement hiring tied to pharmaceutical and chemical manufacturing. Dover, the state capital, has procurement activity connected to state government contractors and defense-adjacent supply chains.
How to find procurement visa sponsorship jobs in Delaware?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it more efficient than general job boards for international procurement candidates in Delaware. Search by role type and state to surface positions from employers that have active H-1B filing histories. Focusing on Delaware's chemical, pharmaceutical, and financial sectors will yield the most relevant sponsorship-eligible procurement openings.
Are there any state-specific considerations for procurement visa sponsorship in Delaware?
Delaware's incorporation-friendly legal environment means many corporations are registered there even if operations span multiple states, so a Delaware-listed procurement role may involve work across several locations. Procurement positions must qualify as specialty occupations under H-1B standards, which typically requires demonstrating that the role demands at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field rather than a generalized business background.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored procurement jobs in Delaware?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
